Mercury Meltdown gushing onto Wiis
Physics-happy puzzler sliding onto Nintendo's new console in spring 2007; game will take advantage of Wii's tilt-sensitive controller.
One series that appears to be a perfect match for the Wii's tilt-sensitive controller is the Mercury Meltdown franchise from Ignition Entertainment. However, to date, the only platforms the franchise has made it to are the PlayStation 2 and the PlayStation Portable.
That's all set to change now, as Ignition has announced plans to release Mercury Meltdown Revolution for the Wii. The game is currently in development at Ignition Banbury in the UK and is slated for a spring 2007 release.
Like other Mercury Meltdown games, Revolution tasks players to control a blob of liquid mercury through mazes stocked with traps, moving platforms, and other obstacles. The game will feature more than 150 levels, full incorporation of the Wii Remote's tilt sensor, and "state-of-the-art blob physics."
Mercury Meltdown Revolution has not yet been rated or priced.
