More PS3 exclusives head to 360

Koei makes Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm multiplatform, announcing both will come to Microsoft's next-gen console.

It would appear that the PlayStation 3 may not have as many exclusive titles as previously thought. First came the announcement in September when Ubisoft said that the much-publicised Assassin's Creed--which had previously been billed as a PS3 title--would be coming to the Xbox 360 and PC as well.

Producer Jade Raymond told GameSpot in an interview that the reason for this was that Ubisoft had at first been unsure how many consoles it could support but that it had "always wanted to share our next-gen vision with everybody."

Then came an article earlier this week, by Newsweek correspondent N'Gai Croal, in which he stated that both Assassin's Creed and Grand Theft Auto IV were originally intended to be exclusive for Sony's next-gen console, but Kaz Hirai's "slowness" in finalising the deals meant that the developers decided to port to Microsoft as well.

Today, two more games which were previously presumed to be PS3 exclusives have been announced for the Xbox 360 as well: Koei's aerial combat racing game Fatal Inertia and its miltiary actioner Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War.

Fatal Inertia is the debut title for the Toronto-based studio Koei Canada, which is led by Takazumi Tomoike, creator of the Dynasty Wars series, and Koei cofounder and chief advisor Yoichi Erikawa. The game features "an evolutionary sport mixing high-performance street racing, rally, and demolition derby."

Bladestorm: The Hundred Years' War is set in the first half of the 14th century in Medieval Europe, and players will assume the role of a mercenary leader commanding troops in real time.

A Koei spokesperson confirmed to GameSpot that Fatal Inertia and Bladestorm would be launch titles for the PS3's 2007 debut in Europe, but wouldn't comment further on the Xbox 360 versions of the game.

    I would like more PS3 exclusives. I find myself buying 360 games because I can hook up with my friends online. But I need something to rub in their faces, so they will quit being cheap and spend a little money on the 3.

    EXCLUSIVE GAMES , are the blood sucking leaches to modern society. there should be a rule, if a system can play the game without making the game look bad (i.e gears of war on Wii . = making it look bad)

    Everyone needs to stop being childish, and just be happy that more games are going cross platform

    I played the Fatal Inertia demo, it was rubbish but the point i have is that it's ironic that it was a PS3 exclusive but it is coming out on the 360 first now.

    INTERNET MOVIES keep on telling your self that. i did alot of investigating before i spent my money and i realised by looking at game publishers opinions, the stock market, the line up of games over the next year, the no of exclusives lost resi5,gta, virtua tennis, unreal tournament, blade storm,fatal inertia and assasins creed. The milkman has been and delivered and when the milk is sour im not the kind of **** to drink it.
    I reccomend that you enjoy god of war2 on your ps2 as i think you will find that that may be the last great exclusive of sonys time at the top unlesss they make a miracle happen and all their exclusives are not lost to ms eventually. Anywayz enjoy your ps3 if you believe that you got a good deal thats all that matters. ps check your facts blueray is not being supported by the porn industry due to sonys safety locks so they are supporting hd-dvd. plus this is nothing like vhs vs beta max the internet changed the porn industry forever so if you thought that all the stress of spending $600 on a console with no good exclusives would be relieved by mrs palm and her five lovely daughters im afraid your very mistaken my dear fellow.

    Okay...now this makes me mad...Now i think you should also make PS3 and 360s games...For the Wii...yeah i mean the Exclusives for PS3 and 360..and stuff ...or have about just share games....Ahhgh all the Exclusives are being traded and shared back and forth in this Gaming Gen...and its sucks!

    Why do people buy consoles just cause there made in there country?It's a quite absurd form of nationalism.I couldn't care less about what country which console is made in.Don't have blind faith in a company after all at the end of the day we are just another number they want on there sales chart

    It's good to finally see some constructive analysis on these boards. Everybody loves the underdog and Bill Gates is definetely NOT the underdog. However, MS is learning from their mistakes and you have to admire that.

    Comeon guys and gals, support one of the largest American companies out there. They have good products like this Samarai Warriors wannabe game.

    It looks cool and I'm going to waste my 60 bucks on it.

    wow there's a law in the U.S. that forbids monopolies it's funny ya'll think OMG MICROSOFT can just go buy the major 3rd party companies that have backed sony for many years like Konami, Capcom...etc but the truth is if you go look at those companies games a lot of them NEVER make the US markets cause they are strictly guided towards the asian market (PS3/Sony market) so for microsoft to buy a major asian/japanese company is stupid move on their part as well because hands down it don't matter if Microsoft bought out squaresoft even JAPAN WILL NEVER BUY AMERICAN products they HATE too they WON'T they will form a new company before having to support especially microsoft.

    this is another reason PS3 will not fail it far outweighs microsoft in the asian market which is the largets video gaming market in the world...so if they have that market they will always be in the hunt and as you can see by holiday sales the 360 was HORRID sale wise over there again because they don't like to buy american stuff it's as simple as that honestly. now if Sony was really smart haha they would start porting some of the great japanese titles to America cause go look at the PS2 there's so many great games you can import for it that are fun as hell that the American shelves never saw....it's all good though I know you all know deep down the PS3 will start striving in the future...but again i'm sure the fanboys will find something to bicker about... "Well XBOX LIVE STILL KICKS SONY ONLINES AS*!!!" lol there will always be something and come on ya'll know if you had the money we would all own all 3 systems...but what's sad is consoles aren't cheap no more and even $400 for the 360 isn't cheap $400-600 is like the same ammount to me it's just a matter of choice and the future and i honestly believe Sony has a strong future with this console gaming wise and video wise cause the Blu-Ray is already showing signs of becoming the next format, and winning the war...i mean come on the PORN industry is backing blu ray first and we all know the porn industry dictated the format in all the previous wars lol ...VHS vs. BETA ...DVD vs LD and now Blu-Ray vs HD-Dvd

    daniel665 you are the biggest moron on these boards i've seen you post that link to a retarded article that is so biased it's hillarious to read quite honestly...he doesn't pinpoint the problems or explain anything to why the PS3 can have a strong future and will...lol the PS3 is not going to even come close to failing...it will eventually surpass the 360 in sales will probably take 2-3 years but it will happen ....in those 2-3 years expect to see the normal games coming to microsoft like sequels to God of War, Devil may Cry, Gran Turismo...sony's sport game division is starting to step it up and expect those to bring in great sales especially their baseball series...Maximo games i heard a rumor is coming...a lot of things will happen in 2-3 years and I guarantee it won't be much negative but a lot of gaming on both sides.

    I've said it before and i'll say it again, both systems are equally matched, with the exception of each having a little tech difference from one another. I can tell you right now the only difference you are going to see between Ps3 and 360 is sharper texture that the ps3 have. And you can even see it now in all its games. They are much, brighter than the 360. They way you all are acting is as if the ps3 graphics is going to be like ps1 to xbox. It won't be anything like that. And even though i say this you all still won't believe, but just wait and you'll see. I can make bets on this one.

    By the way I have to give Microsoft some applause for ACTUALLY learning from their mistakes and trying things differently. They watched the xbox lose to the Ps2 and now that is in the past. However the only downside is all the ignorant fanboys who liked the ps2 better than the original xbox don't do research or won't accept the fact that the Ps3 is losing to the 360 will buy the ps3 just because of the name! Spread the word, everyone tell your sony fanboy friends what system is the best!

    basicly the only reason that these PS3 exclucives are comming to the Xbox 360 is because that it has a giant head start in sales and the publishers and developers want to take advantage of it.Personally, i dont mind because i never really been a Sony guy, and i dont plan on getting a Ps3.

    microsoft ownz sony on money making capacity, its a matter of time be4 microsoft buys most of the good sony supportting 3rd party companies.

    Can the 360's OS be updated? Seriously, someone tell me, because I'll be sold on one if it can be. But being a Sony fanboy since FFVII and MGS, and seeing the horrible monster called the first XBox, I have no clue. I'm tempted by the 360, but I want to stick it out with the PS3 because it has so much more potential in the long run, unless I'm won over by XBox (aka, if MGS or FF ever move to XBox).

    The 360 can make games look really nice. I mean have you seen Mass Effect? The grafics on that game are much better then MGS4, if you don't believe me just look at the main characters and you will see that faces look much more real in Mass Effect.

    If X360 had a price drop going into the holidays, I think that would seal the deal on the PS3. PS3 is losing becuse sony isn't firing on all cylinders. Not to say the X360 release was any better, however it had no competition so it didn't hurt so bad. I.E. I couldn't buy a 360 at launch well guess what I just waited, what choice did I have. However the PS3 shortages drive customers to the other consoles since there is a choice wait for the PS3 or get the X360 now. This is why we are seeing the PS3 losing exclusivity. Sony needs to flood the market with 10,000,000 consoles by march or it will probably be the last in the pack untill the next generation. See if sony was smart it would have said no we are forgoing this next generation with the PS3 and we are releasing the PS4, in about a year from now. The ps4 would have been the PS3 rehashed but with alot of software, and enough consoles to satisfy the XMAS 07 crowd. However Sony just wanted to rush the PS3 out the door, becuse they bet the BlueRay farm, and the console farm on the PS3, and didn't think how they were going to satisfy demand. M$ was smart releasing the X360 so early becuse they could call the shots, and when the PS3 tried to penitrate the market they would have to perform magic to make enough consoles or risk losing exclusive 3rd party developers. Oh and those saying wait the PS3 is going to do this in 2 years, 3 years 5 years, ahhh whatever. See when it takes 2-4 years to produce a quality game the PS3 will have what 10,000,000 consoles, at the current rate of production, it will take about 8 years to make 10,000,000 consoles. X360 will have sold that many by the end of this year. Sony is having real problems, and bottom line is it's far to expensive to produce a xclusive to have a installed base of a million consoles to sell to you would have to charge $200.00 to $400.00 per game to make any profits. I think this is the tip of the iceberg, and also developers are like lemmings, the more that flee the PS3 exclusivity the more that others devs will do so also. Don't forget Sony is a hardware manufacturer. The other 2 competitors are software companies yes Nintendo does alot of hardware but being on it's island it made for itself with the N64-GameCube, it has been doing alot of software development. M$ knows how to make software, but furthermore it also knows how to manipulate other developers, and entice them. PS3 execs are like so what you want to make a PS3 game we don't care just pay us our damned royalties, and licensing fees and we will give you the privledge to develop on our systems. Well the 3rd parties are saying screw you. Nintendo took this attitude back with the N64 and look where it got them. PS3 is in decline, and I hope sony eats it's serving of humble pie, becuse when they want to they can innovate, it just seems that they aren't inovating with the PS3 they want to use it as a tool to force standards, down the consumers throat.

    From what i've seen of exclusuve titles, there's nothing on the PS3 yet that will make me want one, and there's plenty (Mass Effect, Halo 3, Forza 2, Fable 2) coming out on the 360 which I do want. I'm not a fanboy or anything, it's just at the moment the 360 has the games I want. If the mulit-platform games end up being significantly better on the PS3 than the 360 I'll get one for that, but for me it's just not worth shelling out £450 on a PS3 at the moment.

    Why everone keep saying KILLZONE 2 will be a good game when the first killzone was a flop?(Is it because sony showed off that cgi movie and said it was real game play?) From all the reviews I have read RESISTANCE FALL OF MAN ain't that great. MOTORSTORM may have good Gfx but the game looks super slow it must be at 30 fps even when you hit the boost its still slow and I saw that game with my own two eyes at target. DEVIL MAY CRY 4 gfx is a joke at least I hope so and the game play look easy. WARHAWK AND LAIR just looks super lame. GRAN TURISMO HD lmao is the biggest joke ever $1 for two cars lmao. All in All the ps3 so far haven't showed me any games thats make it worth buying.

    malixxl : and what titles are they ?? mike_mgoblue's list may have been every average 360 game on it with the classics but please .. what is there on PS3 ? I doubt we'll see anythnig good and exclusive on the PS3 for a long while ............ I say , buy a 360 now and a PS3 in a year ...... or better yet buy a Wii now , a 360 when the first price cut comes Feb / Mar .. and then a PS3 when that's cut the following year. If you wanna be a Sony fanboy and only own one console then just live with your shortcomings ..... and to anyone that says " i can't afford to own 3 consoles" .. well that's simple then .. you can't afford a PS3 and HD v to play it on .. but a Wii and stick with your PS2 ( or pick up an Xbox for £50 )

    I seem to remember a quote from the developer of Metal Gear Solid saying the new game would run quite happily on the 360 when it had been demo'd a one of the E3's (or some other such show).

    Besides - have you seen Halo3 recently?

    Why can't everyone who participate in stupid console feuds at least attempt to be smart, or actually be educated (like jazreal)... Just buy your system and shut up or be smart about it...

    *Note to all Sony Fans: I work at an EB Games, and we have a PS3 set-up... it does have gorgeous graphics, but we have to restart it about every half hour cause it freezes. Sony's video game market is dieing, like it or not... the Wii is clearly the top seller between the two new-release consoles...

    MGS wont go to the 360...I own both...and personaly I play my ps3 and the 360...There both amazing systems. But I can tell just by a launch title...That the ps3 has so much more processing power and will do things the 360 can not even imagine. Gears of war looks beautiful and is fun and is ultra pollished, and resistence: fall of man also is beautiful. But people say " Gears of war looks so much better than resistence" its because resistence is just a launch tital. Look at all the 360 launch titles. If you realy want to see what it would of been like if both the systems launched toghter compaire perfect dark to resistence fall of man...O ya by the way MGS will never go to the 360 because the type of power and realistic gameplay there shooting for if you pay attention to the videos and screen shots you will know and tell that the 360 will never be able to do something like that. But the good news is that sonys system is going to be out for the long run. this system is going to be around for like 8 years atleast. give it a year and you will see games on the ps3 that will simply blow you away and make the 360 look like an xbox 1.5. The thing that is better about the 360 tho is its interface and its user friendly media and xbox live is just simply a better service. It will take time for a comunity to become big on ps3 because right when you turn on your 360 its BAM! right in your face are your friends. Microsoft will come out with a new console soon because the 360 will be outdated in about 3 years. the ps3 it will take a very long time for developers to be ab le to take advantage of a system so vast
