Full Auto 2 crashes PSP

Sega's combat racer gets shrunk down for Sony's handheld; Deep Fried behind the wheel of game's development.

When Full Auto 2: Battlelines was announced at E3 2006, some were surprised that the game was being developed as a PlayStation 3 exclusive. However, Sega today revealed that the game won't be just for the PS3--it will however, still be limited to Sony platforms.

Battlelines is currently in development for the PlayStation Portable and, according to the game's official Web site, is due in stores spring 2007. The game is being created by Vancouver, Canada's Deep Fried Entertainment.

Like its console counterpart, Full Auto 2 is a car combat game featuring vehicles outfitted with various weapons. Gamers will speed around 15 fully destructible environments in a race to see who can finish first and in one piece.

The single-player game features 56 events, and multiplayer modes include a variety of modes, including Head-On, Down & Back, and Arena Deathmatch. Also carrying over from the console version is the unwreck feature, which allows gamers to reverse time and have a second chance at maintaining their safe driver's insurance discount.

Full Auto 2: Battlelines for the PSP has not yet been rated or priced. Full Auto 2: Battlelines for the PS3 will be ready for the console's North American launch on November 17.

You know, anyone who knows anything about the 360 at all would know that the topic refers to the fact that the game is about CRASHING CARS. IT's really very simple and an attractive headline. That's called GOOD journalism.

Ya you have a point ... i clicked on it like WTF ... only to see um no crashing just a title claim?????? retards ... yup they have monkeys running gamespot again.

I'd like to point out that this headline is misleading. The word crashing can imply that the psp may actually be freezing up...Now I do realize that the game isn't out yet, but someone just scanning headlines might misinterpret the headline. That is just bad journalism.

I can't imagine this game being very great. It seems to me that the prettier the psp game, the longer the load times.
And i cant STAND load times...

Hmmmm! it maybe worth checking out, glad to see it's not a mere port but a game developed for the psp....... oh and GS maybe a little rewording is needed in the title "Full Auto 2 Headed to the PSP" sounds better than "FA 2 Crashes PSP" but that just my opinion.

GS sucks, the title is misleading... anyway, FA2 for PSP? Hell YEAH! If it can maintain the speed, framerate and carnage of Burnout Legends, it's gonna be a great game. They better have an infrastructure mode + lots of cars & customisations.

The title for this article is really misleading, you know. Only after thinking about it for a few seconds did I realize that it wasn't what I thought it was at first.

If it has infrastructure wi-fi then I will be more excited. PSP needs to take more advantage of the wifi since it can have mroe than four people playing online. Gotta love Medal of Honor.

I hope Sega is smart and adds infrastructure. Infrastructure is way better then Ad-hoc plus if it is added more people will want this game.

Porting PS2 games to the PSP was bad enough, but PS3 games? That's a bad sign.

My first two thoughts were: They made Full Auto 2 for PSP?
It will make your PSP crash?!?

The title should have said "Full Auto 2 crashes onto PSP".This title was way too misleading. But Full Auto 2 for PSP, YEAH!!!!!!!!

Yeah, I completely misread this as some sort of apocalyptic console-destroying glitch being present in a game.

Another misleading Title Gamespot! I have no problem with Cleverness, but be careful. "Full Auto 2 Crashes PSP" can mean a variety of different things.
