Kameo to cameo in Uno

Rare's elfin princess gets card deck in Xbox Live Arcade game; special card lets players swap hands with opponents.

Gamers eagerly waiting the latest offering from Xbox Live Arcade Wednesdays had better like both Uno and Kameo: Elements of Power. Microsoft has announced that in lieu of a new game, a new Kameo-themed Uno deck will be available at 1:00 a.m. Wednesday morning over Xbox Live.

The Uno Kameo Theme Deck will cost gamers 100 Marketplace points ($1.25) and feature a special new card that lets the gamer who plays it to swap hands with any of his or her opponents. Only the table's host needs to own the deck to deal out the new cards.

Uno is available on Xbox Live Marketplace for 400 Marketplace points ($5). Kameo: Elements of Power is rated T for Teen and retails for $29.99.

    They screwed up on the Australian Marketplace, they released it for free .. then took it down about 20 mins later. I was lucky enough to score it for free though

    all these Uno haters are nitwits. they probably never even played it on XBL. It's not a game with killer graphics, duh, but it is suprisingly fun. btw... the game is only like 4 bucks. it's a lot of fun for just $4.

    they should create a deck for adults. pin-up girls, playboy models, or chip n dale guys. could be clothes or nude. I'd play Uno way more often

    Thank god! I got pressured into getting the stupid PGR themed deck and didn't want to have to waste another couple bucks on another useless UNO card that should be free.

    Wow, forget buying a Wii or PS3, here's the Xbox 360's killer app! Who's Kameo and who cares about Uno? Isn't the point of buying an expensive next-gen console to play substantially better games than a basic card game?

    I agree, the PGR3 deck wasn't built for UNO, no way José.

    My brother and I spend hours playing Uno and video chatting, so I might buy this deck - certainly sounds more interesting than the PGR3 deck! But I want new games! Or at least those two new levels for PDZ that are apparently due...

    Hey toadblat..I dont remember anyone telling you to spend 3000 dollars on an HD tv. I spent 200 dollars on my 32" flat screen and games look just as good on my tv as it does on yours..so instead of complaining think about how much money you wasted

    Right, a recycled imaged card deck. Thanks for nothing. Kameo was underwhelming as a launch title and it remains so. Microsoft continues its dull bland offerings. Rare lost them a ton of money when it did not produce a killer application at launch. Now they are trying to recoup like psychonauts digital downloads. But Kameo is no psychonauts.

    I did not even download it, but when I went to the marketplace, there was a "check" next to it. I clicked on it, and it said I already own it, do I want to re download it.. Weird..

    I just downloaded this. It's FREE!

    And it is damn awesome!

    Using that special card is amazing. Also, when you play the same number on top of an existing card, your character changes into the one on that card, whether it is 14 below or rock troll.

    This is amazing against others as well. Having a full hand, only to swap with another who calls out Uno is a great rush. It really switches things around.

    More special decks like this please!

    I have nothing but love for Live Arcade. Sure, it would be great to get a game every week, but with lumenes and UMK3 I have my hands full. If they release 4 games in the next 6 weeks I will be happy.

    Hmm... a new deck of cards? Where are the GAMES? Microsoft seriously needs to ramp up the release of actual games on XBLA. I've seen previews for some cool-looking games for that platform but where are they, and when are they??

    Wow, um, that blows... The Kameo deck would have been nice, you know, when Uno game out, not this late in the game, and WTF is up with no new game? It's not like they don't have plenty in the pipeline. This is really starting to suck. In the last 5 days, only 1 new piece of content, and they HAD to put that up so the people that buy the halo faceplate can download their theme. The new dashboard is nice, but did they have to put the entire marketplace on hold for it?
