Take-Two founder resigns

Vice president of production who had been on disability leave since June resigned his position this week.

In an SEC filing yesterday, Take-Two Interactive announced that its founder, Ryan Brant, had resigned his position with the company. Brant worked as the publisher's vice president of production "in a non-executive capacity" and had been on disability leave since June. The original CEO of the publisher, Brant left that position in 2001, several months before the company's controversial PlayStation 2 game Grand Theft Auto III redefined its role in the industry. He also served as chairman of the board of directors until March of 2004.

You guys clearly have no idea who this fellow is. If you worked in the industry, you would know. You would not believe some of the crazy stuff he has pulled. Take 2 is where it is today because of some seriously gross misconduct, and this guy is the man behind the scenes pullin all the strings.

    Best of Luck!

I, for one, believe he's going underground to infiltrate the American law system with the sole aim of battling JT mano-o-mano in the courts.

I've been known to be wrong about these things though...

Even if he wasn't activley running the company for the height of it's run it's great he distilled the spirit in a company that allows them to stand up the Gov't and Jack Thompson. He's done us all a great service and I'll be curious to hear if he takes any other steps into the gaming industry.

I wish the best of luck to him in his future pursuits, and good health to cure his disability. The company's been on the receiving end of oh-so-many complaints, the least one can do is give their well wishes.

It's been a tough 18 months for Take-Two. Sounds like Brant has also been having some health issues too. Best wishes to him, personally.
