Eidos dates Justice League Heroes

Publisher wants gamers to save the day for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox releases of its superhero action RPG.

While Batman, Superman, The Flash, Wonder Woman, and the rest of the Justice League may get together on a monthly basis in the comics, it's a much rarer occurrence in games. Outside of a pair of Game Boy Advance titles, the pantheon of DC Comics' biggest names hasn't been seen together on game store shelves since the ill-fated 2D fighter Justice League Task Force on the Super Nintendo and Genesis (in which Green Arrow could defeat Superman). That dry spell is set to break next week, as Eidos has nailed down an October 17 release date for the PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions of its action role-playing game Justice League Heroes. The game was developed by Snowblind Studios, developers of Baldur's Gate: Dark Alliance and Sony Online Entertainment's Champions of Norrath series.

Should have been on next-gen systems - a shame and a waste that it's not.

Yes, it's SUCH a waste that it wasn't released on consoles that aren't even out yet let alone have proven worthy of the support. What on EARTH were they thinking?

First of all this game is not cancelled. I think "ssnewman" is referring to the Midway game that was cancelled a couple of years ago. "FallenAngel", Snowblind Studios made the original Dark Alliance, Champions of Norrath, and Champions Return to Arms. Raven made two good Legends games, but you seem oblivious to what Snowblind has done for this genre on the consoles.

Both games are going to be great. Let's just leave it at that.

Won't be better than Marvel Alliance,. if only because Raven has more experience with this kind of game, with its previous work on the Xmen Legends games.

A digression here. Just wondering whether anyone knows when is that "Tomb Raider Legend" for the Cube is coming out or not? Heard nothing and had been waiting for it since its announcement.

This game should have been on the 360 but it is not and so I guess I will have to get it on Xbox. Which I do not use that much after buying a 360.
