Final Guitar Hero II tracklist confirmed
RedOctane names 40 songs for upcoming sequel, says there will be an additional 24 unlockable tracks.
When GameSpot went hands-on with Activision subsidiary RedOctane's PlayStation 2 encore to last year's cult hit Guitar Hero, the game's tracklist was still in flux. When the game was originally announced, RedOctane said only that it would include "more than 55" songs, but now a spokesperson for the publisher has said that the game will have 64 tracks in all, with 24 of those being unlockable bonus tracks.
A list of the game's 40 default songs started circulating on the Internet last week after a Guitar Hero II video preview on MTV.com included legible shots of the carefully guarded tracklist. RedOctane has since confirmed the accuracy of the list, which follows below, separated by difficulty level.
