X06: PGR4 pulled out of garage

Sequel to Xbox 360 launch title announced at Microsoft's X06 event in Barcelona; details on speedy racer are scarce as Peter Moore shows just a single trailer.

"For the first time ever, Project Gotham Racing 4." Those were the words uttered by Peter Moore at Microsoft's press event at X06 today. While the fact that PGR4 was in the works wasn't a surprise, the fact that it was announced this soon was. Project Gotham Racing 3 was released for the Xbox 360's launch, less than a year ago last November.

There weren't any concrete details released on the game, but Microsoft did present PGR4's first trailer. The video showed a Ferrari tearing through an unidentified wire-frame city, causing distortion in its wake.

PGR3 wrench monkeys Bizarre Entertainment are currently working on the follow-up. No further details were released on Project Gotham Racing 4.

Does this mean it will never stop raining in PGR4 (I would not mind one bit). Looks like another step toward realism ( just don't step in a puddle when you get out of your car-it'll ruin your shoes).

this is why im not Purchasing Project gotham racing 3 although played the demo its really great game near realistic graphics and awsome game play.the 4th instalment should be better thus ill wait for that.. i got me Burnout revenge to fill that racing game gap at the moment....

but i do wander how the graphics will improove tho on this one. What we did see is pre rendered..

If off road racing were to take place taht would be awsome !! but im sure its going to be city like

I can't wait. I'm holding out for it unless a great racing game comes out before, like Burnout!

Im not overly impressed with PGR3, not many people online... looks like they might be going for a more offroad direction in PGR4, as the city is disappearing, but i couldn't see that happening... PGR2 was great PGR3 amazing, but not as active as i hoped, PGR4 peopel saying its rushed, but this is only a pre rendered gameplay, dont expect it until late 2007

I agree with Travis281. PGR2 was definatly a better game. Let's hope they make it 360 compatible some time.

PGR3 was much easier than PGR2. I actually liked PGR2 better even though 3 has more online options. I hope they reach a balance in this new one.

Wow, PGR4 already. I played the demo of PGR at my local Wal-Mart and Hastings and the game was pretty fun. The visuals were really good too. I'm just wondering how much farther they're gonna push the graphics on the game.
