Games have come a long way from simple diversions and time wasters. The medical field is using them to simulate surgery and other medical procedures before moving students and doctors onto live patients. The Army uses games to teach greenhorn soldiers the ins and outs of proper tactics and also as a recruiting tool. Some games have even been sponsored by the United Nations as lessons on how to supply relief to needy countries.

On the other hand, some controversial games with extreme views have also become available. Among them are a homemade Columbine Massacre role-player, a John F. Kennedy assassination shooter starring Lee Harvey Oswald, and a massively multiplayer online game sponsored by the Chinese Communist Party that asks players to kill the Japanese.

The latest game to raise eyebrows is titled Night of Bush Capturing, according to SITE (Search for International Terrorist Entities). The game was allegedly created by The Global Islamic Media Front, which SITE describes as a "jihadist mouthpiece."

As its name implies, the goal of the game is to hunt down "a character representing" President George W. Bush. There are six levels, with names such as Jihad Beginning, American's Hell, and Bush Hunter Like a Rat, and traditional jihadist songs play in the background.

SITE says the PC game, which was aimed at "terrorist children," is a modded version of Quest for Saddam, which was released after the US invaded Iraq in 2003.

    We as westerners need to learn that Islam is a religion of peace and love and if we can't learn that then we will just have to be killed off in mass by bombings and attacks on our civillian populations.

And that camera showed this blurr of an object whizzing by that is barely able to make clear? But, did you look at the other video imaging...the one that clearly show a jet barely hitting the ground and then slamming into the the wall? We all see demons that we want to see. Some of us see the demons that someone else wants us to see. And sometimes the demons are the ones that are showing us the demons they want us to see.

If you read it closely I said I'm defending liberals...it was a new paragraph. So it was just generally speaking on that and how stereotyping is dumb.     That post was much more respectable then your last. I appreciate your rational...it makes a debate so much more interesting. If you took what I said as smug well I'm sorry. A lot can be taken out of context on a message board and you can't hear the tone of ones voice...to show sarcasm and joking. I never thought I could change your opinion, but maybe I can change your presentation of it. Your last comment seemed much more thought out. If you don't think you were bashing then that's your delusions. I definitely was not trying to bash you...it was more reasoning than anything. Just like most of my comments. If you read my post clearly for the most part I'm say...I feel that, or in my opinion, etc etc. I don't just come out and say "YOU WRONG LOOK AT THE FACTS". Really there are no facts in the world anymore...everything gets twisted. I agree with you a lot, believe it or not (mostly with your latest post, you sound a little more honest and not just to yourself as in previous posts). People do like to buy into the conspiracy theories...even I do. Mostly because I find it interesting. It may not be fact but it can have truth. These people who do these things (not all but some) may actually do more research than you give credit. A lot of that stuff that I hear I know I wouldn't just come up with.

    Also...lol...everyone gets made fun of. It's not like I get made fun of all the time (well except my friends and I make fun of each other all the time). That's what buds do. I don't get made fun of for my political views...except my dad...lol. I'm glad I didn't get into politics when I lived with him! So don't apologize for that...lol.

    From what I saw, you seemed a lot less reasonable than your last post. You sounded like you lacked rational. Just remember...it's good we all speak our minds. Whether it be some conspiracy theory or praising the Bush administration. No one should be silenced...it would be a cold and boring world if we did. Again it's not what you said...I got your opinion and it's good. To me the presentation sounded as if it was coming from a (for a lack of a better word) d*ckhole! lol...not saying you are...just seemed that way and I know that word is not sophisticated.

    It does get to the extreme when people just start pointing fingers and blaming Bush for their problems. I can admit, it can be annoying. My father and his side of the family are all Republican...I get my liberal from my mom. To me liberals can blame Bush...but my family (dads side) blames blacks, jews, etc. pretty ignorant stuff. I guess that's why I'm liberal, I chose not to be a part of that.

    I know not all conservatives are like that. In a political race I choose based on character more than politics. If I think the Democrat is a better man I will vote and vice versa.

    lol...I did add the hippie pot smoking douche. Personally I don't care for hippies and I hate it when conservatives regard all liberals as hippies. I really dislike any extremist on either the right or left. Politics are very complex, technically everyones opinion can be contradicting to itself. I feel this country is sick and it's up to us to work together to make things better for us and the world. We need to be tolerant, reasonable, understandable, patient, and calm, but do it with strength, to be assertive, with pride, and knowledge. I think we have two parties when combined carry all those attributes. It can never be one sided, so lets learn to work together...it's normal to have arguments and disagreements lets not let it get the best of us!

    1.) Your post has got some funky formatting in it.
    2.) Some of my best friends are liberal. Even a couple of them could be considered "very" liberal. I don't make generalizations, and note that not once did I make the generalization that liberals=pot-smoking hippies. You supplied that yourself...I'm sorry if people make fun of you, but I never said that, and I really don't appreciate false accusations.
    3.) No nerves were hit. I actually had a massage right before I wrote that post...man, they sure know how to work those muscles, and good conversation too when I can manage to get something across coherently :-) Completely relaxed when I wrote that.
    4.) As amusing as "I'm no XXX, you are!!!!" arguments are, I got past them when I was six or seven. I suppose everyone matures at different rates.
    5.) I never pointlessly bash, I ask them to examine the truth. When people are so blind or self-deluded that they refuse to go and examine their sources of information (prisonplanet.com being a prime example) what am I to do. I sure as hell won't coddle anyone, and I will most certainly not encourage it. If you're old enough to make a semi-coherent post on these boards, you are old enough to take some criticism.
    6.) Your previous post most assuredly was filled with both smugness and a deluded sense of self-righteousness. I stand by what I wrote.
    7.) Of course I can admit when I'm wrong...'tis what happens when you learn, when you debate, and when you realize that someone was right. I've yet to come across anything you have said that has made me think I was wrong in my reasoning.
    8.) Let me repeat something again. I'm not a Bush fan. I never voted for him. I'm not a fan of the neo-con agenda (and no, that's not some global domination plan). However, my disagreement with their policies has not left me so blind as to go "ZOMG, BUSH = TEH SUX, HE'S THE TERRORIST, BIN LADEN IS MISUNDERSTOOD!!!!" that I see the "far" (note the "far" please) left doing all the time. I also know that while they may not have the same exact vision for this country that I would have, I also know that they are doing what they think is best for this country. The best part...in two years time, I'll be able to vote again (and hope McCain runs).
    9.) Nope, liberals != terrorists. Haven't made that claim either. Thanks for (again) trying to put words in my mouth. What liberals are guilty of, however, is maintaining such a level of ignorance that they actually think throwing money over to the ME will solve our problems, that this is all a problem of economic disparity. Some of the more far left members even go so far as to sympathize with them, which is downright disgusting (and of course there are the crazies who actively want our country to be toppled, which really is treason, but is protected under our 1st Amendment--another thing Islamic radicals would love to see destroyed, but hey, they're not the enemy or anything...). But actual terrorists...no.
    10.) Ignorant. I know quite a bit about the subjects I've touched on, through actual research, not by digging through such lovely bastions of objectivity like prisonplanet.com. The problem is that most people don't bother doing the research, and instead see the status quo...see something that opposes it, and immediately accept said oppostion without actually examining the "facts" they throw about.

    I have nothing against any of you personally, I mean, Auto could be a great guy (or girl...or both, whatever, can't always tell on forums) for all I know, just misguided. However, when you put your opinions on a place where anyone can view them and respond to them, accept some personal responsibility and know that people will disagree. I know that people will disagree with my viewpoint, just as I know (many) more agree. I appreciate your posts King, as they show a remarkable level of sophistication for these boards (which are obviously not my own...I love games, which is why I'm here, I generally keep my political commentary to political boards), and I *do* respect your opinion, even if I disagree with parts (or even think certain parts are downright wrong).

    No...actually I'm barely considered middle class. I work 10+ hours a day, 7 days a week when I'm home to make enough money to make semester payments. I get financial and merit based college and Gov't grants. I apply for extra grants to allow me to travel to other countries through my university. I do it because I actually make a goddamned effort to know the people there...something that is painfully obvious you lack.

    Auto...it's time to wake up. Wake up to the real world buddy. There are no black helicopters whisking people away--no matter how much you may think there are. There is no "evil" Republican conspiracy to take over the world...despite what that collection of absolute garbage and misconstrued "facts" (they cease to be facts when taken out of context) at prisonplanet (that you love to site) says. I find it sad that you need to delude yourself with a false, conspiracy-ridden universe to make up for your own shortcomings. But I still have hope that one day you'll wake up from your delusions; for there ARE **REAL** threats out there, people who want to kill you, me, and everything that this country stands for. They are not within our government, or part of some shadow network--they're in the streets burning American and Israeli flags, crying out for another Holocaust, for a great "cleansing" of the world. It's sad, pathetic, ignorant, and downright dangerous that you instead insist that these people are not our enemies, but rather that the people who are trying their best to protect not only us, but the world, are in fact the real "terrorists".

    You know, i had this 3 page response and I was about to post it and I then I realized you were too IGNORANT to accept the REAL WORLD. Traveling around in it(which i have been so lucky to do) doesnt mean you or I understand it. But at least I go to sleep @ night knowing I care about the people of this country and not just the rich and middle class.     Tax the poor, give to the rich? Are you honestly that blind? You do understand that the American tax system operates on a Progressive Tax curve, with a cap at around 30-40%? I guess not. This system babies the poor and punishes those who have made it. You want fair, help change this country to a flat-tax system. That is a fair system...the poor pay less, the rich pay more, based on the mathematics of percentages. Even better, replace the system with a consumption tax (read more at http://www.fairtax.org/).

    Where do I ever say that the American government is perfect? Hmmm...yep, no where. However, the American government is certainly one of the best out there. The fact that you disagree makes no difference to me. I've gone from quasi-socialist/free market states (France) to one of the last remaining Communist regimes (or rather a country transitioning to a free market economy while simultaneously managing to retain an extremely repressive government) on Earth. I've seen these different regimes, these different ways of living, and most people have absolutely no clue how lucky we are--yes, even the poor. In a way I'm almost glad most people have no clue, because I'd be disturbed by the number of suicides by people like Auto who wake up and realize that they've been living in a fantasy world of make-believe.

It's amazing the absolute ignorance most Americans live in...not to these so-called "conspiracies" you keep prattling on about, but about how lucky Americans are, even the poor. You say your mother lost her job/pension benefits...those don't even exist here. Your mother can get another job, thanks to the remarkably low unemployment rate in the U.S. Here people fight over the lowest paying jobs, and make it off of rates that most Americans couldn't comprehend. No, this complaining is a product of ultra-liberal disconnect with the actual american public--a very sad occurance to be sure.

    I can't belive it , i never heard of something like this before in my entire life, there should be someone hacking this game and put a good virus in it , so when these people install those games in their pcs , they get spam or something, that would be nice !!!, Seriously now, this is not good this will create future terrorist, have you ever seen a 5 year old kid playing a videogame???, their like zombies, all focused on their game, Now imagine a kid in irak or afghanistan playing this game focused on the images of terrorism and destruction, terrible , this is just insane, now its not just the us, they have a war against anyone that criticize them, imagine those kids in 20 years , that's a Scary thought !!!

    I think you may have misunderstood what I said in that post. I never said anything about our media being angelic, and I agree with most of what you say. That post was in response to another user and I think what I wrote could be misunderstood w/o the proper context. All I was trying to say in that post is that the media is not trying to make every muslum look like a terrorist. I wasnt saying that the media is a perfect unbiased way to get information, because it's not.

    i understand what you are saying and just like you said, you are entitled to believe what you want. But I ask you to show me how the buildings fell. i ask you to show me a plane that hit the pentagon. I have already discredit the popular mechanics piece and leave these people to decide what they want. I would rather try to find out if my government has failed me and be wrong, then not try at all. Because what if....what if we(conspriracy theorists) are right! isnt that worth at least looking into it instead of trying to debunked the science behind it.

    And for record. multiple physisists, scientists, groups, etc have all tried to get some of the matierial from the WTC, but guess what our government has shipped it all to containers under lockup in china... Why? NOBODY can get to that stuff that has any public access anyways...what do they have to hide? to many variables are just plain wrong in the official story for me to believe. So if real people show me the proof, then maybe...just maybe i'll back up a little bit...but i highly doubt that will ever happen

    I would like to point out that it actually was conservatives that made this game and not liberals. The terrorists actually are conservative. Osama is very conservative when it comes to Islam. He is fanatical, he hates anyone who isn't Islamic, he is a fundamentalist. His supporters, are also conservative too. They have the same views as him and also have fascist views. Fascism is considered to be conservative and the terrorists happen to have fascist views.

    So stop saying the liberals support these guys, cause they hate them alot too. I'm a liberal, and I really, really hate the terrorists alot. This game itself, is not a good idea for a game at all.

All he knows about thermodynamics, material science, and structural engineering come from conspiracy theory websites. I've studied thermodynamics, heat transfer, material science, mechanics of materials, etc. I can tell you that the information presented in the Popular Mechanics article is accurate. If, however, you don't want to believe it, that is your choice. You will also probably not believe similar articles from Scientific American, The Skeptics Dictionary, the German magazine Der Spiegel, nor MIT engineering professor Thomas W. Eagar. From wikipedia we get the following quote:

    Thomas W. Eagar, has suggested [9/11 conspiracy theorists] "use the 'reverse scientific method'. They determine what happened, throw out all the data that doesn't fit their conclusion, and then hail their findings as the only possible conclusion."

    It is your choice to push forward with your suggestions that their is a conspiracy behind the events of 9/11, but I will not be continueing in this dialogue. I've given my two cents already.

    common law of thermodynamics says completely opposite.

    if you have a 500 degree flame and introduce an 800 degree flame, the final flame is 800 degrees, not 1300. The things burning in that buildling where not burning hotter then the jet fuel and the were NOT an accelerant either. Also if you watch the footage you'll see thick black clouds. The reason they are dark/black is because they are deprived of oxygen, which in turns makes the burning point even lower. The pancake theory is bs because the buildling fell in 10.4 seconds and free fall(dropping an apple from the top floor) would have in 9.8 seconds. Pancake theory would have the destructuion level by level, slowing down the collapsing time. Also, because of the height of the building, it would NOT have fallen straight down perfectly onto itself. Also if you check you can see explosions going off about 30 seconds before, on all the major structure supports. and no, the building was designed not to "shatter" the beam(if you are thinking its some sort of beam explosion). Also its the only building(skyscrapper structure) to fall from burning in the history of the world. An operhouse did some while back, but again its not a skyscrapper.

    also no plain hit WTC 7, so please tlel me why that fell and nothing else did. BTW, there were over 100 impending Security Exchange Comission cases in that building. Actually every single SEC file was in that building...how convient it fell for no reason...oh im sorry I mean "loss of structure integrity due to the falling of the other two" (chuckle).     Not going to get into the name calling thing here as it doesn't serve any purpose. Just want to point out that my eariler comment was that it is VOTES and NOT BULLETS that we use to remove politicans from office that we do not like. If that offends someone then I am not going to apologise. That IS our system of government which has worked very nicely for 200 plus years. It is a system which many people have given their lives just so their families can benefit from it. As far as those that say we are in Iraq not to fight terrorism I must say that you really think that Al Queda is not in Iraq. Or, that Saddam was not capable of making or using chemical weapons. On that last point, Saddam used such weapons on his own people on more then one occasion and on the Iranians at least once. Saddam was a Facist-style dicator that killed his own and anyone else just to make sure he remained in power. He routinely sent money to terrorists. He was dangerous---did you forget that it was he that launched wars with first Iran and then Kuwait? What G.W. did was to finish what was unfinished in the early 90's and to create a focal point for the war on terror. It seems that that strategic move is working.

    One last point, noticed some mentioned that the WTC during 9/11 was not the result of terrorist's planes striking the 2 WTC building. It has been suggested that our own government bombed said buildings instead. This is so wrong on so many levels. One "argument" that was used to "prove" this is that jet fuel does not burn hot enough to melt steel. Well, jet fuel may not but what jet fuel does do is act as an accelerent that greatly enhances any heat output by any flameable materials. So, you have a bunch of highly flamable material laying around on the floors to which these jets spew 1000's of gallons of highly flamable jet fuel. It is ignited and starts burning. There is also another phenomenom that takes effect in any uncontrolled building fire. That phenom is that as smoke builds inside the closed structure, those floors above the fire, that the same smoke heats to a tremendous amount....several 1000 degrees. This in turn causes far more combustion and heat and left uncheck becomes like any smelter that you would find inside any steel factory. One other thing that happened in the crashing of the planes was that large portions of the steel floor beams had the fire retardant insulation blown off. Now, we have the recipe for the steel beams to at least become soft due to high heat.. Beams that are soft bend. As the tremendous weight above push down the bend increases until they finally fail. In the case of the WTC tower the entire upper floors "pancaked" down toward the areas that had windows blown out by the plane crashes. Air from this pancaking compressed out through these blown out windows along with the massive flames from the inferno inside. This blowing out of flame under these floors was what made it appear there was an explosion and nothing more. To quote people that are selling books or using it as propoganda to stir up "anti-Bush" or "anti-government" thinking will not hold when logic is applied. What it really only serves is to show that you have a bunch of crack-pots out there that want to believe whatever some people will feed them. Same thing applies with this so-called Jihid game.

    I decide who deserves my respect and President Bush is not one of those people. He's wasting american lives and money and he is easily one of the most ignorant people I have ever seen. Not just ignorant though, completely idiotic. I'm not a terrorist but I most definitely do not agree with a lot of things about this country. As far as this game goes, if it's any good than so be it. Personally I think it'd be hilarious to have a good game that has you tracking down GWB. If it was good enough i might even pay for it!

    The American people can and will complain about what their government is doing. This, along with our drivers license and passwords will have(the new passports already do, despite MASSIVE NATIONAL SECURITY issues) RFID chips which can track you from anywhere on the planet. And you ahve ECHELON which listens to every phone call,email, bank xfer, etc every american makes.(thanks again bill clinton). now tell me...why does the government need that. I could've sworn I have the protection of my personal privacy. Why do they need to track all my purchases, communications, etc? Oh but all this is okay...it doesnt effect you...right? You can go out and just get another job. Oh wait...you have that college degree and any starting position needs 4 years of experience. Well crap, how are you supposed to pay that student loan off? its okay, you'll start low and work your way up in the corporate world, right? What do you mean that position went to the daugher of the president of the company? that doesnt seem very fair... "If i dont like it i can leave" wow...thats great... okay let me try to find a different job...oh wait i cant because they've all been shipped overseas(thanks bill clinton. Regardless if you like alex jones or not, this science he RESEARCHES(and gives props where they are due, since he is only publicly documenting the already PROVEN research) still holds up. I understand where you are coming from and I came from the same spot. it came down to me having to find evidence for not believing his views, and honestly...thats not an easy thing to do. You'll find different "facts" quotes in different articles that state the exact opposite thing. But when I looked into what he had to say, there were too many things that made sense. It comes down to a matter of either 1) sitting around doing nothing and believing that everyone is being honest or 2) understand that humans in general are greedy and they always want more power.     Volunteering at the local church food shelf program in the North Country (I'm not religious by the way, I do it because it's the premier humanitarian organization in the area) has brought me into direct contact with some real destitute people. No what the amazing thing is? How much they love this country. They work so much harder for so much less than these pathetic emo children posting about concepts they don't even understand, and yet they are the ones who truly appreciate this country. I've never *once* heard one of them say how it's Bush's terrorist Zionist regime that's screwed them over...rather, they repeatedly say how glad they are to have a job, how glad they are to actually work, and how glad they are part of the USA. The teenage, sheltered, disconnected youth and the ultra-liberal ex-hippie bloc are so disconnected from the American public that it's downright disturbing. Even more disturbing is that this "teenage rebellion" phase has taken a turn from "hey, lets go sneak out and smoke a joint" to "hey, pass me another joint that I bought with my dad's allowance money while I wax poetic about crap I don't know".

Males between 16 and 30 are hit the hardest. Universal healthcare coverage is not a right but a privilege. Roman Catholic Mercy hospitals are FREE for anyone who can't pay anyway. Free college? Heaven forbid you get a job and go to one of the thousands of colleges across America that have reasonable tutition costs like your parents did... that is if they did. But who cares, right? Under a socialist government does your personal talent count for anything? It's not like you can rise above others in the (now defunct) corporate world because of your abilities. Communism...er...socialism will provide for everyone regardless of talent!!

The whole of Europe works on a combo form of Socialist/Capalist forms of goverment. This is the best form I believe. They have some of th ebst quality of life for the PEOPLE that live there that ot makes America look just plain sad and lame in so many ways. Universal Health Care and College Education are just two important issues here in America that the Europeans have solved, or at least gotten better than America by far.     Well Gruug I think that people want this game because they realize that it is just a game about shooting people that looks entertaining to them. Or perhaps the people that want it are the people that did vote against Bush and are still a little sore that he won. Also you may have wanted to add protest to the way people can express displeasure in their elected officials. However, the fact that you mention it not belieiving how many people would want a game where they can shoot they leaders doesn't make sense to me, it's a game if people want to shoot the President in a game then all the power to them. Oh and VegetaMaelstrom I only wanted to include people that have recently been in, or are currently in, power and not those that have no chance of ever getting it. Now that I think about it though, if that were to happen then everyone else would feel left out, hmm........ah what the hell, let's throw em all in and have a merry ol'time at the Peace Tower.

    I can't believe that there are so many citizens of the US that would suggest that they would want this game to be offered here in this country. Fortunately, I am certain that the actual number is small. Did my (few) fellow citizens suddenly forget that we express our pleasue and displeasure with elected officals at the ballot box and not with bullets? If you don't like the guy then I suggest you vote. If you don't, then what reason do you have to complain? Remeber that tyrants aren't the one's you vote but the one's you fail to vote against.
