I just checked that link and it says nothing specifically about the 360 version. It has a link that does a search on spong, and that search happens to come up with the 360 version. That's no indication IMO that this was referring to the 360 version of the game specifically.

No. 1 is Lego Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy for the PS2. No. 9 is the original Lego Star Wars for the PS2, released over a year ago. It's been selling again due to the fact that the second one is now released.

Position 9 is Lego Star Wars 1, not the new one. Check the release date.

Ali_Bubble_67: Looks like the UK is going to be the last region to jump on the DS bandwagon. There are two DS titles in the top ten. Considering that those titles only appear on the DS and 2 of the titles above them were multi-platform that is very good.

It's not just that Gamespot listed the PS2 game cover. It's that it specifically lists the PS2 version in the description of the list winners. It's also that in previous lists of this type, different versions of games released on multiple platforms were highlighted individually. Football games from the last two weeks already highlight this.

What people don't understand about the multi-format chart, which is why it was originally a trade only chart and I do not think it should be used for public sale indications, is that it entirely depends on how many formats a game is released on!

A game is released on XBox 360 only and sells a miilion copies. Another game comes out on XBox 360 AND PS2 AND PC and sells 400,000 on each format - total 1.2 million sales. Now what is the more popular game? A game that sells 1.2 million across 3 formats or one that sells a million based on one format? That surely is very subjective - and that's why this multi-format chart should not be used. Charts should be definite, not subjective. If it's subjective, what is the point of it - for public consumption, I mean? it's just confusing. Hence the comments here every week.

Dude...Resident Evil 4 came out last year, so Dead Rising is not Capcom's biggest success for years. It's there biggest success recently, and rightly so!

How comes Lego Star Wars has made it back as well? I have quite a few of these game for some months now. So, it shows that not a lot is changing recently.

Actually, it was the PS2 version that made the top spot, not the conglomorate of all versions available on each platform. If anything, that is more impressive. It means that in spite of the fact that it could have been purchased on any currently supported platform (each of these purchases subtracting from the PS2's winning tally), the PS2 version was still able to grab the top spot. The overall tally can't help but be even more impressive.

I also don't think that this news blurb implies failure on the part of "Dead Rising". It is listed in the number two spot after all. The "short-lived success" listed is clearly referring to its number one spot.

i wouldnt say xbox360 is a dominating force being that europe bought more ps2 games meaning xbox is like third worldwide under ps2 and nds but it does suprise me how much they are willing to pay for games they pay about 75 bucks a game for those xbox and about 60-65 bucks for the ps2

Cars is becoming an annoyance.

I wouldnt say dominant force quite yet because sales are still pretty slow over here in genral so it doesnt take huge sales figures to get to the top of the chart but the signs are looking good. It will be interesting to see where the next weeks new releases go on the chart because tiger woods might sell because of the ryder cup and then metal gear solid and the godfather could sell just by the name. Im not sure about LMA because they are not exactly big name games anymore and NHL not exactly a big sport here.

So we have ST Row and Dead rising Xbox360 exclusives putting up numbers that Multi-Platform games sales! Wow the 360 is becoming a dominate force. GO 360!!!!!!

Dont forget this chart represents overall game sales from all platforms so to see 360 exclusive compete against the multi platform games is a good sign for them and especially when those multi platform games are more centred for the younger and casual gamers which is the majority of the UK market just makes it an even bigger achievement.

hey SUPRAMAN84, Lego rules. and lego star wars is probably the best satr wars game out in recent years (for a console at least)

360 seems seems to be performing quite well...
Be interesting to see whether the UK will embrace the Wii or PS3 more.

It's just good that cars isn't number 1 anymore but GTA: LCS is going down.
