This year's World Cup helped Electronic Arts move tons of units of both FIFA Soccer 06 and 2006 FIFA World Cup, but the world's biggest sporting event and its millions of fans must move on. EA is moving on too, as it has officially announced FIFA Soccer 07.

The latest game of footie is headed to the PlayStation 2, Xbox, GameCube, PSP, DS, PC, and the Game Boy Advance on September 29 in the UK. EA has not yet announced a release date for the US. Though a recent statement from EA does not mention any next-gen versions of the game, the game's official Web site bears an Xbox 360 logo, meaning that a version for Microsoft's next-gen console is likely coming later.

Now that international pride has been settled for the next four years, FIFA 07 is concentrating once again on the club circuit. The game will feature the licenses of dozens of leagues, and will introduce the new EA Sports Interactive Leagues, which allow fans to square off in online leagues based on real-world schedules.

The PSP version also boasts improved connectivity with the PS2 version, enabling gamers to transfer data between the two platforms, and play a single franchise mode at home or on the move. DS owners will be able to create their own custom chants using the console's microphone, and more precise off-the-ball running routes can be ordered with the "Touch Run" feature.

    I heard that the romanian Liga I will be in the game. Nice, for the first time I'll get to lead STEAUA to a high level team.

    If the gameplay is anything like Fifa WC then it'll be a winner. But if they can only get the offside trap and the darn player select worked out.

    at last im at home here all the magazines and stuf prpa big up the pes games and slate fifa and EA
    but finaly i have not only found some1 that agrees wif me bt a whole group of ppl FIFA RULES!!!!!!!!!

    You know that EA is not going to run away from the arcade like style of the gameplay engine they are usiing. I have a feeling we are in for a real disappointment and this is not only going to be disappointing but very damaging to EA's reputation and I most say that this Years FIFA 07 might not live up to expectations of the long abide fans of the series. All they want really is money they don't care about the gameplay they care whether or not you buy the darn thing which is why they have kept it the same and will not upgrade the game from its predecessors.

    all of u that say we is better than fifa, we or pes is made for the playstation, try playing it on the pc, its crap! what about the fouls in that game(pes)? incredible not realistic! fifa is way better, on the pc!

    finally the manager mode includes real money.. and also finally Create-a-Team.. Hell Yeah!!.. for what they make it sound on the FIFA 07 SIte.. it seems pretty damn good.. hopefully it isnt all just to get my hopes high...

    Then shalafi00, I suggest you play Pro Evo and shut up while we play fifa. As you said you haven't played fifa since 2001 and if you assume it hasn't changed in five years, you're dumb.

    I'm amazed that people still actually play Fifa. I stopped playing it after Fifa 01 i think, as even after playing 10 seconds of Pro evo, you realise that fifa is a complete waste of your time. Anyone that hasn't played pro evolution soccer/winning eleven, should drop what they are doing right now, grab ALL of their copies of fifa, including the only good one they ever made, fifa 99, and just burn them all. It's like comparing a VW beetle from the 60's to the new Zonda F. Just no comparison. Go with Pro Evo, just that much better.

    Im a PES fan, but admittedly, FIFA 06 & WC have improved A LOT the gameplay of the series.
    Anyway it is still too frenetic, arcadey and doesn't play AT ALL like REAL FOOTBALL. And the ball has always had inaccurate physics, something between a golf ball and a beach ball.

    Be honest, admit it.

    So, i'd like to see what happens this year, but i'd rather save my anxiousness for WE PES 2007.

    FIFA 07 is going to be the god of all football games! The GOD. I have read 7 different reviews on hands-on tests done by famous sites and magazines, for the first time they all are amazed and stunned by the new FIFA 07 and its new developers team.

    From my side, I think that FIFA football 07 is going to beat PES this year, only this year but never before.

    Fifa 07 is going to improve a lot on gameplay. Joe Booth (developer) said that after about 50 hrs of playing, you'll still see different animations, rebounds, etc.
