WTF PSP dated

D3 Publisher of America set to bring unusual minigame compilation to US later this year.

D3 Publisher of America announced that it was importing Sony Computer Entertainment's PlayStation Portable minigame collection Baito Hell 2000 as WorkTimeFun, or WTF for short. Today the company pegged a shipping date for the game as well, saying it will go out to North American retailers on September 26.

WTF combines an array of more than 30 simple minigames that see players chopping wood, entering a burping contest, or performing other similarly random feats. By performing well, gamers earn money to purchase more games or other prizes. In addition to the single- and multiplayer modes (up to five can play), there are some utilities gamers can unlock to use the PSP as a calculator, a flash light, or a ramen timer.

For more information, check out GameSpot's hands-on impressions of WTF.

I anticipate that "WorkTimeFun" will be one of the BEST games for PSP. Who cares if it is a bite off of Wario Ware? As long as it is fun and sells well. And as somebody else pointed out earlier, this is somewhat of a port off of a PS2 version, which came out prior to Wario.

Yes, I will pick up some Work Time Fun.

I'll probably end up picking this up, as long as it isn't too expensive. I could always use a Ramen timer for that once or twice a year that I eat instant Ramen!

Is it me or a lot of Sony's new psp titles somewhat similar to Nintendo ds's. I guess they've seen the formula that actually works.

Odmog, you seem a little tense. Clearly you need to play some WTF! All kidding aside though, didn't the doctor make it clear that you can't miss even a single dose of your medication?

If the minigames last more than 3 seconds, it's no warioware. Also, warioware has a lot more than 30 minigames.

Hey Guys... Let's not fight too much with the Nintendo fans... I was ripping on some guy the other day and I learned that he actually WAS 12 years old. I didn't feel so great after shredding him after I learned that.

*** A 12 year old fanboy is still a 12 year old kid. Let them hug their DS and ignore them. The PSP rocks and it needs more games like this to round out the library.

WOW, i can't believe how many stupid nity fanboys think this PSP game is new and original. (ie: never been released before) The WTF (which i think should stand for another known "WTF") is just basically a port of a PS2 game called Baito Hell which came out in Japan a few years back. It is NOT a rip-off at all of Wario Ware. All of these people are stupid and : BET8390, beinss, teknicz, PSdual_wielder, bizzy12, King_Dodongo, ajm03865, akodikosako

And this is just from reading the first page of comments. Are ALL nintendo fanboys really this dumb that they think anything even remotely similar to their oh-so-precious nintendo products that they say it's OBVIOUSLY just a rip-off?

    sadly................it would seem so, yes

  • martian-bob

    Posted Jul 20, 2006 9:40 am PT

All you all blind? This is a sequal to a PS1 game.

    "ZOMG RIPSI OFFFFFA!11111"

    Please.

  • UnluckyLuke

    Posted Jul 20, 2006 9:35 am PT

Oh, come on. Why can't you nintendo fanboys acknowledge the fact that this is the english version of Baito Hell 2000, which itself is a SEQUEL to a PS1 game, Groove Hell 5, AKA Hell's Groove Station.

WTF? Only 30 games? I got no problem with them rippin off Wario Ware, but they at least should do it in style by actually having as many games.

RAmen timer, finally a useful tool for the college students.

Honestly people get over it. Did you complain this much when you heard about the second platformer to come out after Mario brothers? Every game has to have games that lead up to it, no game is developed in a vacuum.

Sony ripping off hardware *cough cough* controller *cough cough* is one thing. But, making a game similar to Wario Ware isn't a big deal. It's almost impossible these days to make a game that isn't taken to some degree from another game. So, all you Nintendophiles just shut up. I myself lean more towards Nintendo on most things and I could care less that this is similar to Wario Ware. But, the name is just outstanding!
