DDR tangos with Strawberry Shortcake

Majesco, Konami cook up plug-and-play DDR featuring the prancing pastries this fall.

Gamers who have been saving room for dancing desserts--your time has come. Majesco and Konami today announced that they are working together on a plug-and-play version of Dance Dance Revolution starring the tasty tarts from the Strawberry Shortcake franchise. This fall it'll be time to round up the guys for some beers and a few rounds of Strawberry Shortcake Dance Dance Revolution, which features songs such as "Straw- Buh-Buh-Buh-Buh- Berry Shortcake" and characters like Strawberry Shortcake, Blueberry Muffin, Raspberry Torte, and Rainbow Sherbet. The unit comes with a custom dance pad and plugs directly into televisions. A two-player mode will keep the lines shorter so everyone can get their Shortcake Shake on. Majesco has not yet released a price for the product.

hmmm, well it (DDR franchise)might be dead with this sorta community, but youd be really surprised the amount of girls i know who absolutly love DDR and buy/play religiously...
But all the same it does sound like a cheap gimmick, and probably maybe the developer should be violently shot a little bit.

The franchise is dead, Konami. Let it die! If Mario couldn't resurrect it, I'm 99.99% sure Strawberry Shortcake can't do any better.

This is probably due to Konami trying to cash in on the elementary school girl market in Japan, who have been enamored with the Sega's "Love and Berry" games for the past year and a half.

This is not a DDR game. Yes they're still making real DDR games though, with SuperNova beginning to hit arcades, and coming out on PS2 later this year, along with I believe another Ultramix installment on Xbox. This is lame though, it'll probably be mega low quality to reflect the amount of people who will buy this.
