Austin Game Conference gets headliners

Chariman of Dell, lead designer of World of Warcraft, Hugo Award-winning author sign up for keynote sessions.

The Austin Game Conference (AGC) is expanding to become a three-day event this year, and today the event's organizers announced three keynote speakers, one for each day.

World of Warcraft lead designer Rob Pardo will open the AGC with a keynote address on Wednesday, September 6. Michael Dell, chairman of Austin-based Dell, Inc., will deliver his keynote on September 7, while Hugo Award-winning author Vernor Vinge will take the September 8 keynote with an address titled "Inside Out."

Now in its fourth year, the AGC focuses on online game development, from massively multiplayer to casual games. The theme for this year's event is "Brave New Worlds." For more on the conference, check out the event's official Web site.
