Yeah, the halo 2 delay was excrutiating. I woke up the realease day at like 9:30 to buy it, and beat it that day. Im pretty confident that it'll be dealyed. Theres quite a reputation of long dealays they have to live up to.

And no, Halo 2 was not a flop. I dont think it had the replay value of halo 1, but it also wasn't a whole lot different. But the last thing I wanted it to do was end. When the closing video of going back to earth came on, and the game ended, I was pissed.

i have a feeling it will be delayed, but only like a few months. this is my reason to pick up a 360.

nope. the ps3 has a 3.2 GHz processor with 7 single-threaded synergistic processing units cores

360 however has something like a 3.2 GHz PowerPC processor with 3 dual-threaded processor cores

on paper the ps3 is more powerful at dedicated tasks like playing game, but the 360 is better at multitasking (things like streaming music while playing games)

another point is the fact that the 360 has more than enough power for next gen games. and the ps3 has just gone over the bar for no forseeable reason. ps 3 is going to make one hell of a financial loss per console percentage. blue ray is unnecessary aswell since games would never take up 40gb of space. and before you say updates you have xbox live for that.

just trust me, being a computer technition. it looks better on paper but it is unnecessary to have because it will never be fully utilised. a waste of money if you will.

that allways happens. sonic 1 was ok 2 was more of the same and 3 rocked. even in some movies like starwars (episode 1,2 and 3) it follows the same trend

i bet the single player might have other things included besides just striaght up shooting enemies... itll probably be more emmersive as far as maybe some puzzles or even be able to press up against a wall?? maybe some stealth?? they did say that this wasnt really halo 3 but a kinda halo chapters kinda deal... like a spin off
either way itll be interesting to see what they do different.. i dont think its gonna be a halo 2 with prettier graphics.. i think itll have some kind of new and interesting twist to it...

dont mind if its delayed, hopefully bungie can use the time to get the most out of the 360 and make this game amazing

This game and series is Bungie's to ruin. The "next-gen" graphics will be refreshing, but they have their work cut out for them with multiplayer on XboxLive. I happen to be friends with a guy who was a founding member of one of the largest clans of modders, stand-byers (if that is a word), dummy glitch-ers, bomb hiders, and so on. This was a period where I was not playing Halo 2, so I am sad I missed out on all the fun. Or misery. I will expect a lot of updates when I pop in Halo 3 each time.

About the PS3, the games are terrible now, but the graphics engine and CPU are far superior to the 360's. I hate to say it, but THREE nVidia graphics chipsets slaughter the ONE ATI chipset in the 360 (not only the number, but nVidia makes better cards for gaming) . Still, I'm a fan of Microsoft, so I'm staying as far away from Sony crap as possible.
I agree, Metal Gear is a frickin' sissy's game, I played it for a few minutes and it made me sick. The original Splinter Cell is still the best stealth/action game.

Halo: Combat Evolved - Original story and gameplay, one of the best games ever made, so much fun!
Halo 2 - Complete crap, nothing original other than "dual wielding," which was retarded, and "Legendary" wasn't even fun unless you're the Halo master.
Halo 3 - Hopefully Bungie breaks the downward trend, but I'm not overly optimistic. Frankly, the graphics in the demo didn't look that great, Ghost Recon already looks like that.

Actually, a_dirty_hippie, 16 year old hippies can spell better than that. In the UK, considering PS3 price hikes, and the fact that all the COOL games are coming out for the 360 (Solid Snake can kiss my a$$), XBOX 360 will kick the Cr4p out of PS3.

Halo 1 was crazt good, no doubt, but I too was a bit dissapointed by Halo 2, but I cant understand why, it was a great game but it just didnt have the same feel that the original had. But storywise the ending didnt upset me because I know that the people at Bungie write a decent story and the Halo 2 ending was just their way of really getting the anticipation for HAlo3 way up.
This time around Bungie will provide a more satisfying ending, unless they want a alot of bitter fans sending them hate mail.

and for the record about Gears of War well its good game but the gameplay itsself is thesame as Kill Switch (PS2) the maker just adden some few nice moves and graphics aswell, still thesame though..

well they need to stop trying to make the campaign fun cuz no one cares and that's what makes the delays. and halo 2's campaign was god-awful. i want halo for xbox live only!!!!!!!!!
