E3 06: Namco completes E3 lineup
Japanese publisher reveals final list of games scheduled to appear at E3; Mobile Ops 360, newest Xenosaga, Tekken PSP headline.
Namco Bandai Games heads into its first Electronic Entertainment Expo under its new partnership, and as is the case in new relationships, the union seems to still be working things out. The company has released multiple lists of games in the week before E3, including its E3 roster of anime-based games and future next-gen games.
Today, Namco released another E3 lineup, this one featuring 19 games. However, only one next-gen game was included on the list--Mobile Ops: The One Year War for the Xbox 360. Next-gen gamers shouldn't fret--the previous list of Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 games, which included the next versions of Ridge Racer and Tekken, may still be shown in some form at the pre-E3 conferences.
As for the rest of Namco Bandai's games, E3 attendees should get their first up-close look at Tekken: Dark Resurrection for the PSP, the next chapter in the Xenosaga series, and the PC title Hellgate: London.
Below is a list of Namco Bandai's E3 games with the latest release dates (where applicable):
Xenosaga Episode III: Also sprach Zarathustra - PlayStation 2 (Fall 2006)
Tales of the Abyss - PS2 (Fall 2006)

Tales of the Abyss is probably the best game on that list or atleast the best rpg on that list followed by Xenosaga3.

Namco... so many liscened titles, pac-mario kart, and yet another Tales (Gawd their cranking those out) game. Doesn't sound like a steller line-up for Namco.

Nothing for Wii or DS? WTF!

Not very impressive line-up. The usual suspect titles for PS3, Tekken and RR7 does not excite me at all. The X360's line up looks like they are just throwing at MS what is deemed Japanese just so MS could say 'look we have Japanese games' . No Wii announced title whatsoever though I'm not surprised since Namco have always backed Sony with their more popular franchises. The most exciting games to me there are Xenosaga III, and Tales Of The Abyss both for still current gen. They don't even have Tales Of The Tempest for the DS there (WTF). Why can't they have some original for once for whatever system. An all original start to a new franchise would impress me more on the next-gen system than graphical upgrades of their same old franchise (which IMO haven't really improved all that much since the PS). I guess they are just trying to play it safe by the way they are still developing for the still currwnt gen PS2, obviously due to it's huge userbase. Kinda been dissappointed in Namco lately....

The Wii and the PS3 will def have good support from namco once they come out...at least thats what i think.

Interesting how many PS2 games are on that list, guess Namco feels it still has 1 decent holiday season left in it. I note a strange lack of PS3 titles, they must have at least RR7 and Tekken 6 videos to show...
The lack of 360 games is hardly surprising, seeing how piss poor the 360 is doing in Japan.
A couple for the 'Cube but none for the Wii, maybe they will make a showing at the Nintendo event. I can't see Namco not supporting the Wii, surely they must have at least a launch title. Regardless of what you think of Namco, if they aren't backing the Wii, that speaks volumes.

A lot of PS2 and PSP software. I think that Namco Bandai will have a very strong presence at E3. It's also nice that more and more anime games are being brought from Japan to America.

You can only hope that the reason certain big-name DS titles are not on this list is because they'll be at Nintendo's press conference... the same goes for any possible Namco Wii titles, too.
