Rayman returns
Michel Ancel once again directs development for his disincorporated hero; multiconsole release set for later this year.
Proving once again that you can't keep a good...thing...down, Ubisoft has announced that its colorful armless and legless mascot Rayman is returning for a fourth installment. The game is currently under development at Ubisoft's Montpellier studio, and is scheduled for release on current- and next-generation consoles.
While Rayman creator Michel Ancel has been busy in recent years working on games like Beyond Good & Evil and Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie, he is returning to the platforming hero he helped create for a fourth go-round. The third Rayman adventure, Hoodlum Havoc, was released on multiple systems in 2003.
No details about the gameplay are available yet, but the game is expected to ship this coming holiday season.
