Microsoft today announced that Xbox Live Marketplace, the Xbox 360's digital download center, has broken the 10 million download mark. Marketplace, which offers content that ranges from picture packs for gamers' avatars to demos of retail games, has been accessed by 85 percent of broadband-connected Xbox 360s, according to the company.

The tech giant also revealed that more content for Xbox Live is on the way. The company confirmed that new achievements and automobiles will be available for Project Gotham Racing 3, new multiplayer maps are headed to Perfect Dark Zero, and an online cooperative mode for Kameo: Elements of Power will be ready soon. The company did not say whether said downloads would be free or, as is more likely, come at a price.

This spring, Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion will also get its first download for in-game use with the Horse Armor Pack. As its name implies, the pack will outfit gamers' mounts with armor, not only protecting them from attacks, but also making them look a bit more menacing. No price was mentioned for the pack.

Two more Xbox Live Arcade games have been confirmed for spring. In addition to the much-anticipated Street Fighter II: Hyper Fighting, gamers will be able to download Uno and Texas Hold 'Em Poker. Uno will be based on the classic card game by Mattel, and Poker, from developer Riverbelle, will be a free download.
