Xbox Live Marketplace packed with new content
King Kong demo, theme packs for Fight Night 3, Hexic HD, Bejeweled 2, Crystal Quest content now available.
Microsoft continues to make good on its promise of regularly delivered content on its Xbox Live Marketplace service. Today, another crop of downloads arrived online for gamers to customize their Xbox 360 experience, try out a demo for one of the launch titles, and alter the newest Xbox Live Arcade shooter.
The free demo for Peter Jackson's King Kong: The Official Game of the Movie is now available for download and clocks in at 575MB. The game was originally released on November 22 as a launch title for the Xbox 360. For more information, read GameSpot's full review.
The latest Xbox Live Arcade game, Crystal Quest, has gotten its first slew of content packs. For 100 Marketplace points ($1.25) apiece, gamers can change the sights and sounds of the shooter. Now available are the Animal Madness and Super Synth sound packs, the Sketch and Nano graphics packs, and the Xtreme Scenario. GameSpot's review of Crystal Quest has more details on the game.
Fight Night Round 3 doesn't hit stores until next week, but plenty of content has already punched onto Marketplace. Joining the game's demo, which was released January 4, are pictures and theme packs. Theme packs for puzzlers Hexic HD and Bejeweled 2 are also available. Customization doesn't come free, though. Themes cost 150 Marketplace points ($1.88) and picture packs cost 50 Marketplace points ($.63).
