Full Auto full speed ahead

Development on Pseudo Interactive's Xbox 360 combat racer completed; wrecking begins February 14.

Gamers might want to begin thinking about investing in some virtual automobile insurance. Sega today has announced that its second Xbox 360 game, Full Auto, has gone gold and is on course to crash into stores on February 14. The racer's development was handled by Psuedo Interactive, which is no stranger to crashing cars, with 2001's Cel Damage also in its garage.

Full Auto, which won GameSpot's best Xbox 360 game at E3 2005, lets gamers indulge in some hard-nosed full-contact racing in destructible environments. Each of the game's 21 vehicles comes strapped with various weapons to blast opponents when drafting or taking the inside line on a turn just won't do. Gamers who miss a shot or don't take a turn well can also use the "unwreck" feature, which rewinds a portion of time.

Full Auto is rated T for Teen and will retail for $59.99. For more information, read GameSpot's recent preview. Xbox 360 owners will also get a chance to download the game's demo on January 25.

I don't normally plug....but Gamefly it and buy it if it's cool. If the multiplayer is fun I'll buy it, if not, NEXT!

It looks interesting, but like many of you, an XBOX Live demo will be in order prior to purchase.

This sounds like Vigilante 8 on the N64, actually, sounds like a rip-off of that game.

Some serious framerate issues with the OXM demo, and the XBLA demo is supposed to be the same build.

Seems a bit pointless, as I don't think the demo is anywhere near the quality seen in the recent gameplay videos that have been released. I would rather they delayed the demo now that the game has gone gold and release a demo that is indicative of the final build quality, or close to it.

This game I think can't get any less than a 9.2 to be honest. Also another thing don't expect much from the xbox live demo guys it'll probably be the same bad demo they submitted to some magazine. It only gives people a small taste of the actual game and the graphics and gameplay is nowhere nearly as good as the final game will be.

Its just something they threw together. AGAIN be warned don't expect the demo to be good its severely lacking compared to the actual game.

You know, Cel Damage kinda sucked...
Hey! Whadaya know... GS agrees with me! It was a 5.7!
This gives me not-so-high hopes for Full Auto.

I've played the OXM demo. It gave me a bad first impression but it grew on me. Give it a chance if you don't like it at first. It's not Burnout, and I'm sure people will agree with me on this.

I played the OXM demo as well.. It's certainly got potential.. and i wouldn't say it's a Burnout rip-off even though it looks like it from the screenshots.

The demo had serious frame rate issues (worse than Quake 4). It also had some tacked-on effects and some mildly float-y controls (not as tight as a racer ought to be).. it all seemed fixable though and they've had pleanty of time.

I'm looking forward to renting this one before I buy.
