TOKYO--For Japanese Xbox 360 fans (there are some) that haven't checked out Microsoft's Xbox 360 lounge in Tokyo's Omotesando, the next few weeks will be their last chance. Microsoft announced today that the building will officially close on February 12.

The Xbox 360 Lounge opened its doors on November 1 in preparation for the console's launch in the country on December 10. It functioned as a promotional space where visitors could experience the Xbox 360 on high-definition TV sets and Dolby 5.1 surround sound. The lounge also functioned as a cafe, where visitors could rest, have a drink, and enjoy a selection of original Xbox-themed cakes from Tokyo's top bakeries.

The Xbox 360 lounge was scheduled to be open through mid-January. However, Microsoft says it has decided to extend the lounge's operation to next month due to its popularity.
