Quake 4 multiplayer map pack released

Activision, id Software, and Raven Software wish fraggers a Merry Quakemas with three new maps for PC shooter.

This year, while tamer gamers are snug in their beds with visions of sugarplums dancing in their heads, PC Quake 4 players will have railgun rounds whizzing by their noggins on a trio of new battlegrounds, thanks to the Quakemas Map Pack. The 24MB file features the new maps Railed, Tremors, and Campground Redux, and can be downloaded from GameSpot.

Designed for competitive play, Railed puts the focus on close-quarters combat and supports Tournament, Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch modes. Set in an underground cavern with plenty of pipes, bridges, and catwalks, Tremors is meant for team play. It supports Capture-the-Flag and Arena Capture-the-Flag modes. Campgrounds Redux is a throwback to a popular Quake III map, and supports Deathmatch, Team Deathmatch, and Tournament modes.

    davidbabylon- I was thinking the same thing, too. Considering that the filesize of the PC map pack is 24 MB, it could fit onto a 360 memory card, so I wouldn't be too suprised to see this bap pack on the 360 sometime soon.
