Dungeon Siege film trailer surfaces
Preview of Uwe Boll's two-part epic fantasy tale now online; snippet shows an acrobatic Ray Liotta, regal Matthew Lillard.
When director Uwe Boll has a vision, he goes with it. The German famous for making films based on games, often to the disgust of gamers and cinephiles alike, has taken Gas Powered Games' Dungeon Siege series on a trip to the big screen, the way only Boll can.
A trailer for the flick has popped up on the Internet, courtesy of the Web site (editor's warning--long download) for Fantastic Films International, the film's (or films' rather, see below) distributor. Viewers of the trailer are treated to pieces of "an epic tale" showing star Jason Statham (Snatch, The Transporter) taking on man and beast with swords and fist, Burt Reynolds (Cop and a Half, Boogie Nights) riding horseback as the land's king, and Matthew Lillard (Ghoulies III: Ghoulies Go to College, Scream) screaming and rolling on the floor.
Because Boll believes the movie is "a huge epic adventure," the movie will be split into two approximately 105-minute parts. If spending more than two hundred minutes in a theater is too much for some, Boll will offer the movies bundled together in a DVD set in 2007.
