Me and My Katamari coming to PSP
Portable version of Namco's quirky franchise gets a new name, vague release date of "2006."
Appropriately enough, the Katamari Damacy franchise is experiencing something of a snowball effect. From the smallest nuggets of prerelease hype for the original game, to its holiday sleeper status, to this year's PlayStation 2 sequel, the Katamari brand keeps getting bigger.
Today Namco confirmed that the growth is going to continue in the US and Europe in 2006 with the release of the newly named Me and My Katamari on the PSP.
For the third installment in the series, The King of All Cosmos and the royal family travel to a tropical paradise for vacation, only to be given the responsibility of rolling up yet more katamari to make new islands for homeless animals. As always, the king delegates his authority, and the prince and his cousins wind up doing all the grunt work.
Me and My Katamari throws a few new features into the familiar ball-rolling gameplay, with wireless game modes for up to four players, new characters, and new customization options.

maybe they will map the controls so the triangle, X, [ ], and O buttons are like the second "nub". Press triangle and up to go forward, left and square for left, up and X for turning etc.

Mmm...I don't really know what to say about control considering that you use the D-Pad and the face buttons. It's a pity that it's PSP only, because not many Katamari fans own them, necessarily.

I scared that you could damage your psp buttons using them for rolling. When you think about it they were designed more for style then function and thats a whole lot of constant pressing.
