Lego Star Wars lands on GameCube
Eidos' fusion of building blocks and film franchise now on Nintendo's console months after other console versions.
Eidos Interactive today announced that Lego Star Wars is now available for the GameCube. The game was previously released for the Xbox, PlayStation 2, PC, and Game Boy Advance last spring. Traveller's Tales (Crash Twinsanity) once again handled the game's development. Lego Star Wars is rated E for Everyone and retails for $29.99.
The game is set during the first three chapters of the sci-fi film franchise and includes characters, environments, and scenarios featured in the movies, though with one difference: The game's universe is made entirely of Legos. There are 30 characters, each with his or her own strengths, in addition to a two-player cooperative mode that lets two gamers battle the forces manipulated by the dark side of the Force.
