Little more than half a year after Sony released the simply named NBA for the PSP as a launch game, the company has released its second basketball game for the portable. Slightly more detailed in its nomenclature, NBA 06 brings the hardcourt back to the PSP with new features and overhauled graphics.

A trading card system lets gamers collect 25 highlight plays as collectible cards so they can share them with friends over ad hoc mode. New minigames horse and dodgeball join previous minigames paint mode, PlayStation skills challenge, and the three-point contest. Those who want to go one-on-one with a human can can play the multiplayer mode via ad hoc or across the Internet in infrastructure mode.

NBA 06 is rated E for Everyone and retails for $39.99. For more information, check out GameSpot's full scouting report.
