Penny Arcade Expo'sed this weekend
Web comic hosts second annual festival to celebrate all things gaming in Bellevue, Washington; exhibitors include Nintendo, Microsoft, and Turbine.
Gamers looking for something to do this weekend can do a little more than peruse the Penny Arcade archives for a dose of gaming humor. The Web comic is hosting its second annual Penny Arcade Expo in Bellevue, Washington. The convention is a gathering to celebrate all facets of gaming, both in the digital and tabletop realm.
Among the exhibitors are Washington-natives and heavyweights Microsoft and Nintendo, as well as developers Turbine (Lord of the Rings Online: Shadows of Angmar, Dungeons & Dragons Online: Stormreach), Ubisoft (Peter Jackson's King Kong), Majesco (Advent Rising, Psychonauts), and several others.
Various musical acts will also be on hand to keep the crowd moving, including MC Frontalot, Optimus Rhyme, and MC Chris of Aqua Teen Hunger Force and Sealab 2021 fame.
Attendees can participate in different tournaments, check out upcoming games from various developers, and listen to some panel discussions featuring industry veterans.
The Expo runs from August 26-28 at the Meydenbauer Center in downtown Bellevue. For more information, check out the Penny Arcade Expo official Web site.
