Japanese Colossus preorders get bonus DVD
Customers who reserve ICO sequel get an extra disc with original NICO concept trailer.
Customers who preorder a copy of Shadow of the Colossus in Japan will be rewarded for their early commitment with a peek at the game in its earliest stages of design.
Reserved copies of Sony's follow-up to the 2001 sleeper hit ICO will come with a bonus DVD featuring the original preproduction, in-house pilot movie for Shadow of the Colossus from back when it was called NICO. The pilot has never been shown to the public before, so this will be the first chance for gamers to get a look at how much the game has changed from inception to execution.
The disc also comes with other footage related to Shadow of the Colossus, including promotional trailers used at various events, clips that show the game's development progress, and image boards used in the creation of the game.
Shadow of the Colossus will be released in Japan on October 27. The bonus DVD will be supplied to reserved orders of the game while supplies last. For more on the game, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
