Bachus bumped to CEO at Infinium
Industry vet promoted to top position at Phantom parent as founder relinquishes CEO slot but stays on board.
There was a changing of the guard today at the Phantom game service's parent company, Infinium Labs. Kevin Bachus, formerly the COO of Infinium Labs, has been named CEO. Infinium founder Tim Roberts, who held the title previously, remains with the company and will serve on the Infinium board of directors. To honor the Seattle-based Bachus (the longtime Seattle resident was part of the original Xbox launch team at Microsoft), Infinium Labs will shutter its Florida operation and move all corporate ops to the Washington state city. "Infinium Labs is entering a new phase where it must remain tightly focused on the nuts and bolts of bringing our service to market," said Roberts in a statement. No mention of a launch window for the Phantom service appeared in today's announcement.
