Cybird lands Airborne Entertainment
Deal that makes union of North American and Japanese mobile-content magnates worth an estimated $90 million.
Cybird today announced that it's agreed to acquire North American mobile-entertainment company Airborne Entertainment. The agreement, worth an estimated $90 million, gives Airborne Entertainment, headquartered in Montreal (with offices in Los Angeles, Denver, and Seattle), a feed into international markets. Likewise, Japanese company Cybird now has access to Airborne's distribution in North America. There are no plans to adjust Airborne's staff because of the acquisition. Airborne currently owns the mobile licenses to properties such as Maxim and Family Guy.
