Gaming championship this weekend in NYC

It's not the World Cyber Games, but the action promises to be just as intense. Major League Gaming, a league for professional console video game players, will host the Championship Invitational this weekend in New York City, from October 23-24. The event, sponsored by N-Gage and Gamestop, is being filmed for television and is not open to the public. However, would-be spectators can watch the action on MLG's Web site. Tournament games include Gran Turismo 3, Halo, Super Smash Bros. Melee, Soul Calibur II, and a special N-Gage offering.
