Shin Megami Tensei Online Web site opens
Official site for Atlus's online role-playing game reveals details on its story and characters.
TOKYO--Hot on the heels of the game's announcement, Atlus has opened the official Web site for its massively multiplayer role-playing game Shin Megami Tensei Online: Imagine. It will be the company's first online game for the PC.
According to the Web site, the game will take place in an alternate 21st-century Japan, which is consumed with chaos after an unprecedented earthquake strikes the country. Characters in Japan are either serving to protect the nation or fighting to break the nation apart. In addition, there are also people who have suddenly appeared from another world, although it's still unknown if they're enemies in the game or if they have some other significance.
Players in Shin Megami Tensei Online: Imagine will choose to become soldiers working for the "Law" or the "Chaos" side, or to fight as a neutral mercenary. The player can play as one of three types of fighters: the close-combat vanguard, the ranged rearguard, or the magic-using exorcist.
The Web site also hosts a trailer for the game. For more information on Shin Megami Tensei Online: Imagine, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
