Thrones & Patriots marches on stores
Microsoft has shipped the expansion to Big Huge Games' award-winning RTS Rise of Nations.
As expected, Microsoft has shipped Rise of Nations: Thrones & Patriots, the expansion pack to GameSpot's 2003 Strategy Game of the Year. Rated "T" for teen, the real-time strategy expansion should be arriving in stores soon.
While it requires the original Rise of Nations to play, Thrones & Patriots brings numerous additions its forebear. The pack will feature four new nations, including the Persians and the Americans, and four new historical campaigns, including the Napoleonic Era and the Cold War. More than 20 new units will also be added, including Persian war elephants and US Marines. The pack also contains new wonders of the world and new government types.
