XIII preorder incentives announced
Ubi Soft announces that XIII fans who preorder the game will receive playable demos and an enhanced soundtrack CD.
Ubi Soft Entertainment has today announced that it has partnered with a number of major retailers in North America to offer incentives to anyone preordering a copy of XIII. Preordering any of the four versions of the game later this month will qualify players for an enhanced CD soundtrack produced by Future Primitive Sound, while playable demos for the PS2 and Xbox will also be available.
"We put together the XIII preorder program to quench the rabid XIII community who are anxious for the game's launch," said Tony Kee, vice president of marketing for Ubi Soft Entertainment. "The enhanced CD soundtrack and game demos will give gamers just enough XIII to whet their appetite until the game launches in October. This will be a record-breaking preorder campaign for Ubi Soft."
The XIII demo disc will feature both a number of the game's early single-player levels and a multiplayer deathmatch mode. Retailers partnering with Ubi Soft on its XIII preorder promotion include Electronics Boutique, Gamestop, Best Buy, and Game Crazy/Hollywood Video. The availability of the soundtrack CD and playable demo will vary according to the retailer--neither Best Buy nor Game Crazy/Hollywood Video, for example, will carry copies of the Xbox demo.
