Counter-Strike 1.6 available again

Version 1.6 of Counter-Strike is once again available via Valve's Steam content-delivery application.

Valve has announced that its Steam content-delivery beta is entering its final phase and is open to the public once again. Applications for the Steam 2.0 beta were suspended in January when the release of Counter-Strike version 1.6 saw Valve's content servers reach their bandwidth maximum.

Anyone interested in joining the beta can download the 500KB installer from the official Steam Web site, after which they'll gain access to a number of Valve games, including Counter-Strike 1.6.
