$300 Epic Mickey PS3 Move bundle revealed

Sony launches new hardware bundle with Disney action game and motion controller exclusively at United States retailer Target.

Sony has announced a new $300 PlayStation 3 bundle that includes a 250GB system, Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two, and a PlayStation Move (navigation controller and PlayStation Eye). The bundle is available today exclusively at US retailer Target. No mention was made about whether the pack will launch elsewhere at a later date.

Epic Mickey 2: The Power of Two launched November 18 to a lukewarm critical reception. GameSpot's review of the game praised its story (told through song) and its surprises spanning Disney's rich history, but lamented the game's jumping mechanics, combat, and co-op partner in Oswald.

As for the PS3, Sony recently announced Black Friday week sales for the system, noting the console shifted 525,000 units during the November 18-24 period. Total PS3 sales (hardware, software, and peripherals) jumped 9 percent year-over-year. Sony saw particular success in Latin America, where year-on-year sales rose 200 percent.

Lets combine a well known hated peripheral/gimmick with a poorly recieved game. I could come up with way better bundles in my sleep. Or does the double negative make a positive? In this case I think not.

Why doesn't Sony take out all of the extras like move or any game and sell a super cheap PS3 for like $225 for 160GB or $199 for a 40GB unit or something.  They would move a lot of units if they did that.

@atopp399  extras like move or a spare controller doesnt cost sony much , maybe a pound/dollar. however it adds a lot of value.

also the game doesnt cost much since its just a copy and its likely not gonna effect the overall sales of the game, since the customers who buy a copy of the game most likely will have a console to play it with.

I guess Target really wants something exclusive, and why not partner with a Disney game. Bummer for those kids.

I would be so sad to get this bundle if I was a kid. With all the great bundles like inFAMOUS, God of War, Resistance, Uncharted and Assassins Creed this is a terrible choice. You'd think they'd at least pick a game with some critical acclaim.

This appears to include a PS3 Superslim. Sony seems to have depeted it's remaining regular Siim stock. Still the 250GB superslim is good. So if you want the PSmove then this is your bundle. Epic Mickey 2 as the pack in game.

This bundle seems directly aimed at people who are considering the Wii U. This PS3 bundle is the same price as a Wii U basic set.

Makes you wonder why Sony cant make a bundle with a killer app in it. Only makes sense if they really wanted to move systems
