Judge dismisses Columbine lawsuit

A federal district court judge throws out the lawsuit filed against several game companies.

US District Court Judge Lewis Babcock has officially dismissed a lawsuit that claimed video games from Nintendo, Acclaim, Activision, and eight other game companies directly influenced the actions of Eric Harris and Dylan Klebold, who were responsible for the 1999 Columbine High School massacre. Id Software's Doom was one of the games specifically cited in the lawsuit, which was originally filed by the family of a teacher killed in the tragedy and on behalf of all the victims in the Columbine tragedy.

We'll continue to follow the story as it develops.

if games caused them to murder people than they were beyond help. actually according to freinds of rachel what originally fueled there deppression and anger was some kids calling them gay in middle school. they also idealized h#tler. once again if they had that many screws loose anything could have pushed them over the edge even a fight in football or hockey. just as with the case of the halo murderer people should quit blameing video games

From the psychological analysis of the writings of Eric Harris, it appears that he was a psychopath that also suffered from a superiority complex. Looking at this excerpt, I'd have to agree with that.

"You what I HATE???!!! People who USE THE SAME **** WORD EVERY TIME!!!!!!!! Pick up a **** dictionary and IMPROVE YOUR GODDAMN VO****CABULARY!!!!!!!!!!!"*

No matter what Harris was exposed to, he would have remained a menace to society.

*Not strictly letter for letter, but that's more or less what was written.
