Ron Gilbert launches Hulabee

The founders of Humongous launch a new digital media company.

GameSpot learned from Adventuregamers.com that Ron Gilbert, creator of LucasArts' Monkey Island series and founder of Humongous Entertainment and Cavedog Entertainment, has launched a new digital media company with Humongous cofounder Shelley Day. The new company, Hulabee Entertainment, was founded last year in July in Kirkland, Washington, and it is focused on creating entertainment and educational media for children. The company's first product, SportsSquad.com, is a comprehensive online sports service for kids.

Hulabee also announced that it is developing children's adventure games, which star new original characters. The first of the games is scheduled for release this winter. For more information, visit the official Hulabee Entertainment Web site.
