Hitmaker's Future Plans

The company's plans for the future include Project X, Virtua Tennis 2, and the new Crazy series.

In a recent interview in the latest issue of Japanese gaming publication Dreamcast Magazine, Hisao Oguchi, Hitmaker's representative director, revealed that the company plans to release new arcade titles in the future. The first and foremost on Oguchi's priority list, dubbed as "Project X," is currently in development and is scheduled for release around spring 2001.

Oguchi has also expressed interest in working on a new "Crazy" series. As the former Sega AM3 R&D software division, the company had worked previously on the arcade and Dreamcast game Crazy Taxi. The new Crazy series will be a spin-off from Crazy Taxi featuring perhaps a similar play style. The company plans to release a sequel to Virtua Tennis (Power Smash in Japan) in the future as well.
