E3 06: Superman game gets super cast
EA's Superman Returns gets voices, likenesses of film's actors; Brandon Routh, Kevin Spacey, Kate Bosworth get digital treatment.
Continuing the trend set by games based on movies, Electronic Arts today announced that several of the cast members of Superman Returns will lend their acting skills to Superman Returns: The Videogame. The game flies into North American stores on June 28, just days before the film hits theaters.
The movie's star, Brandon Routh, will contribute both his voice and likeness as Superman and Clark Kent. Kevin Spacey (Lex Luthor--pictured), Kate Bosworth (Lois Lane), Sam Huntington (Jimmy Olsen), and Parker Posey (Kitty Kowalski) will all voice their respective characters in the game.
The game is currently being developed by the house that Madden built, EA Tiburon in Orlando, Florida. The Man of Steel will save Metropolis on the Xbox 360, Xbox, PlayStation 2, GameCube, PC, PlayStation Portable, and DS.
Superman Returns: The Videogame has not yet been rated or priced. For more information, check out GameSpot's previous coverage.
