Diplomacy arrives in stores
Tense game of negotiation, compromise, trust now wheeling, dealing at retailers across North America.
Hasbro's classic board game Diplomacy is now available without the board, as Paradox Interactive today announced it has shipped its PC version of the game to stores in North America.
Set in early 20th century Europe, Diplomacy lets players both take command of one of seven nations and use every underhanded, sneaky, unconscionable, backstabbing, diplomatic trick in the book to scheme their ways to continental domination. The game features single-player and online and LAN multiplayer modes, a graphical negotiation language that makes the act of diplomacy the same whether you're dealing with other players or artifical intelligence, an in-depth tutorial, and online ranking ladders, tournaments, and matchmaking services.
An independent developer and publisher, Paradox Interactive is best known for its PC strategy games. It has seen success with its Europa Universalis and Hearts of Iron series of games. Diplomacy is rated E for Everyone and retails for $39.99.
