Kranzler shifts role at Mforma; Sacks named CEO
Former AOL biggie Jonathan Sacks, brought on in March, takes over reins as mobile publisher solidifies SF base of operations.
Concurrent with mobile game publisher Mforma's move to San Francisco, a number of changes to the company's masthead were announced today. Founder Dan Kranzler relinquishes the CEO role to Jonathan Sacks, who joined the company earlier this year. Sacks had previously served as president of AOL Interactive. Kranzler, who founded the company in 2001, remains in Seattle and will retain the title of executive chairman. In a statement, the company said Kranzler "will be stepping aside from day-to-day operations in order to continue to lead strategic initiatives." Sacks is consolidating all senior management team at Mforma's San Francisco location, which is now the company's official headquarters. In related news, David Oppenheimer was named senior vice president and chief financial officer of Mforma today. And a company spokesperson confirmed that Robert Tercek, formerly Mforma's chief marketing officer, had vacated the position about three months ago. Tercek remains "an advisor" to the company.
