EA dribbles out FIFA 06 demo
PC sampling of EA's latest take on the "beautiful game" features five playable teams and two locations; 219MB file now on GameSpot DLX.
Electronic Arts has released the PC demo of the latest chapter in its long-running soccer franchise. Gamers looking to sample FIFA 06 before the game hits store shelves can now download the 219MB file from GameSpot DLX.
In the demo, gamers will have the option to choose from five squads: Manchester United, AC Milan, Barcelona, Bayern Munich, or Paris Saint Germain. Two squads can square off in one of two stadiums, Millenium Stadium in Cardiff, Wales, or Estadio Azteca in Mexico City, Mexico.
The latest edition of FIFA will include a new team chemistry rating that gives a team full of chums a playing advantage over a team full of chumps. New full-team management options have also been added courtesy of the same team that brought The Total Club Manager franchise to gamers.
FIFA 06 for the PC is in development by EA Canada and is scheduled for release this fall. For more information on the game, check out GameSpot's recent hands-on with the PlayStation 2 and Xbox versions.
