Join the Heroes of the Pacific in new PC demo
Four-level trial version of Codemasters' WWII flight combat sim takes players from Pearl Harbor to Midway; now available on GameSpot DLX.
To commemorate the 60th anniversary of V-J Day, Codemasters today released the 322MB demo of its upcoming WWII flight combat sim, Heroes of the Pacific, which is now available for download from GameSpot DLX.
The demo contains three sample levels of the single-player game and a multiplayer dogfight mission over Midway for up to eight players. The single-player missions include a scramble to defend Pearl Harbor, buying time for a senior admiral to make his escape from Wake Island, and taking out a Japanese airfield in the Marshall Islands.
Heroes of the Pacific will be released in the UK for the PC, Xbox, and PlayStation 2 on September 9. A North American release for the title has not yet been confirmed. The game is being developed by IR Gurus Interactive.
