Premium PS2 Resident Evil 4 coming
GameStop packaging zombie-slayer that features making-of DVD, artwork for $50; standard edition remains at $39.99.
PlayStation 2 gamers with some extra cash to burn might have been rewarded for their long wait for the PS2 version of Capcom's Resident Evil 4. Gamestop.com is listing a "Premium Edition" of the upcoming action game with a preorder price of $49.99. EB Games did not have the Premium Edition listed at press time.
According to the listing, the Premium Edition contains a variety of bonus items. Shipping along with the game will be a making-of-the-game DVD, a Resident Evil Prologue mini-art book, and laser cell artwork of Ada Wong, a mysterious character who first appeared in Resident Evil 2 and returns to the series in the latest game.
In RE4, players will reprise the role of Leon, who is now a special agent sent from Raccoon City to investigate mysterious (and certainly zombie-filled) circumstances in Europe. The M-rated game was released for the GameCube this January. For more information, see GameSpot's appraisal of the game's showing at E3, or check out the full review of the GameCube version. Resident Evil 4 will ship for the PS2 in October.
