The popular comic book-themed massively multiplayer game City of Heroes rolls on as players in control of superhero characters continue to scour the streets of Paragon City in search of evildoers. The game's forthcoming fifth major update, known as "Forest of Dread" (or simply as "issue 5"), will add an all-new set of superpowers to the game's blaster, controller, and defender character classes.

The new powers will include two major classes of powers: sound-based sonic powers and archery-based powers. These abilities will end up being divided into four separate lines of superpowers, two of which are offensive in nature and two of which are intended for supporting party members and hindering enemies indirectly. These four power sets include: archery (to be shared by blaster and defender characters), trick arrows (to be shared by defender and controller characters), sonic blasts (to be shared by defender and controller characters), and sonic resonance (to be shared by defender and controller characters). Examples of characters using these abilities can be seen in our exclusive screenshot update.

City of Heroes is a massively multiplayer game that lets players create superhero characters capable of flight, running at super speeds, and channeling mysterious powers to blast bad guys while taking on missions to gain prestige and power.
