The world's most popular game is getting another go on the mobile market. Konami of Europe today announced that its soccer franchise, Pro Evolution Soccer, will make its debut on the PSP this fall.

Pro Evolution 5 will play almost identically to its console counterparts (due for release in the fourth quarter), featuring realistic soccer gameplay. The game will include squads from 57 different nations as well as 136 club teams. The single-player mode features six different leagues and "a host of cup tournaments."

The PSP version will feature wireless play and will keep a running tally of stats in matches. PSP owners will also be able to transfer game data to and from their PlayStation 2s.

Pro Evolution 5 will be released in Japan as World Soccer Winning Eleven 9: Ubiquitous Edition on September 15. Konami has not yet announced any plans to release the game in North America.
