WWE SmackDown! coming to PSP?
According to reports out of Japan, gamers will be able to body-slam on the go with THQ's grappler.
The WWE SmackDown! pro wrestling series is coming to Sony's PlayStation Portable, reports the latest issue of Famitsu. The magazine reports that Yuke's, the team that's thrived on the WWE SmackDown vs. Raw! and WWE Day of Reckoning series, is currently developing "Exciting Pro Wrestling PSP." Exciting Pro Wrestling is the Japanese title of the WWE SmackDown! series.
The game would be the first WWE game for either of the top two current-generation handhelds. The Game Boy Advance, however, has seen two WWE games: WWE Survivor Series and WWE Road to WrestleMania X8. There are also WWE games for the N-Gage and for mobile phones.
THQ has not yet announced anything official, but if Famitsu's proven track record holds, gamers should be able to pile-drive their pals outside the living room. E-mails to THQ were unanswered as of press time.
GameSpot will more on this developing story as details step into the ring.
