Ubisoft today announced that Splinter Cell's superspy will be sneaking onto another handheld pretty soon. Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory for the Nintendo DS has gone gold and will be on store shelves June 28.

The first 3D handheld Splinter Cell game will let gamers play through both a single-player campaign and multiplayer modes, including the popular cooperative and versus games. All of hero Sam Fisher's trademark commando moves are included, with an exclusive "SWAT turn" thrown in exclusively for DS owners.

The game will also make use of the DS's unique capabilities. With the touch screen, gamers can sort through their inventory, change views, and move the camera. The integrated wireless support allows up to four gamers to play the various multiplayer modes.

Tom Clancy's Splinter Cell Chaos Theory is waiting rating from the ESRB and will sell for $39.99. For more information on the game, sneak over to GameSpot's previous coverage.
