Psychopath, John Carpenter locked up for next gen

Director John Carpenter set to helm first-person action game and film from Titan Productions.

Titan Productions has announced a new title in development for next-generation consoles. Psychopath, a first-person action game, is being made in collaboration with horror director John Carpenter (The Thing, Halloween, They Live). Titan has not yet announced a publisher, platform, or release date for the thriller.

The only details that Titan has released about the game's story is that it revolves around a former CIA operative who is forced back into duty to stop a serial killer.

Titan's aim in the industry is to push projects through multiple forms of media. In conjunction with the game, a film version of Psychopath is also in the works. Carpenter will direct the film and the game's cutscenes and character design.

-> Bolund :: Definedly so. Most games that have featured film makers (non-actor ones) have been pretty darn good, i.e. Chronicles of Riddick, MGS: Twin Snakes.
